I've had a painting log over on the PP miniatures painting and modeling page for the past 4 years. With the PP forums being what they are now, traffic over there is considerably less then what it once was. I think it's about time that I continue my painting log on these forums. While I'll typically update this page with any painting Warmachine/Hordes related, you can also catch all my painting and modeling updates on my blog page. MLBN: A miniature wargaming blog
The next several posts I'm going to try and consolidate most of the updates over the past few years onto this page. This will be abridged with only a single picture for every Legion model I've done over the past few years. There are plenty more pictures with full posts, WIP shots, and tutorials over on my blog. I'd also like to take this opportunity to do some comparison/progression posts of how my work has changed over time. Hope that you enjoy the log!

My delve into Legion started out with this. I picked up the Hordes 2 player battlebox, 1 heavy beast kit, Angelius, 2 deathstalkers, sheperd, forsaken, Thagrosh 1, Absylonia, and Vayl 2. My original test scheme was on a Shredder and involved some red but ended up going with just black for the scales on my beasts. Wanted the heavies to stand a little taller so I did a repose on the legs and elevated them a little. I wanted to do ice basing for my army so I got to work on creating my bases. This was my first test base using the technique I found in the couple links below. forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/43463-tutorial-creating-ice-bases/privateerpressforums.com/showthread.php?102750-Rhulic-Theme-Opinions-Wanted-Zreef-paints-the-stunties/page2It's pretty simple. I painted my basing area with fenrisian gray. I cut up some small slivers of clear plastic from a blister pack and glued them onto the base. I then applied the crackle paint and let it dry for a few hours. I then did a watered down wash of temple guard blue and finally drybrushed white.

You have a fantastic looking army!
Sadly the painting forums over here are not much more active than the official PP ones. Maybe things will pick up over time.
