Here are the lists... Both are relatively generic. The errants list basically builds itself and has the perk of 6 cards in hand. The minions list sits at 5 cards with Maximus added to the CoI starter box. Feel free to suggest different commander cards in the comments!
Protectorate of Menoth - Errant brothers
25 / 25 Army Hand Size: 6
Master Strategist - Commander Upgrade
Exemplar Warder Elias Gade - Commander - PC: 5
Exemplar Errants - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 - Exemplar Errant Officer & Standard - Officer & Standard: 4
---
Minions - Farrow Raiders
24 / 25 Army Hand Size: 5
Master Strategist - Commander Upgrade
Maximus - Commander - PC: 4
Agita, Queen of Carnage - PC: 5 Farrow Brigands - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15
---
Also debating on who my commander should be in the minions list. Any suggestions there?

I like the protectorate list a lot. Errants with ellias in COI are actually pretty legit. I think master strategist is great for that list to maximize command card output but there is also merit to mission specialist.
I think Agita should be the commander (honestly I feel like you could convert her into a brigand warlord easy if you can find a couple of guns for her instead of the fist blades.) because maximus is gonna have a hug target on his head and wants to get stuck in. Agita can stay back and wait for the later game.

Do you think that adding a brigands warlord is the best option to add to the Farrow COI box?

my 2 cents: Errants with assault are powerfull option. I played exactly same list with success last week - Elias is a killer able to threat 3 models with good positioning (escpecially if enemy clustered around an objective). This is a very good list With farrow one - I wouldn't use Maxiumus as a leader with CMD 3 - you are limiting options to use command cards effectively - try to use Warlord instead. I personally use minimal brigands with 2 razor boars. Small pigs are awesome to put some pressure on an opponent (a psychological effect of a charging beacon ) - my commander is a brigand leader to extend a use of hog wild order. the only command upgrade i use is mission specialist - +3 CMD is awesome and hard to be overshadowed by other options..
