There's a report with that list using a Buccaneer at loswarmachine.

Been doing something similar for a bit.
Theme: The Irregulars 4 / 4 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Magnus the Warlord - WJ: +28 - Sylys Wyshnalyrr, The Seeker - PC: 0 - Renegade - PC: 10 (Battlegroup Points Used: 10) - Nomad - PC: 11 (Battlegroup Points Used: 11) - Nomad - PC: 11 (Battlegroup Points Used: 7) - Nomad - PC: 11 - Nomad - PC: 11 - Mariner - PC: 14
Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios - PC: 0 Orin Midwinter, Rogue Inquisitor - PC: 0 Gobber Tinker - PC: 2
Idrian Skirmishers - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15 - Idrian Skirmisher Chieftain & Guide - Chieftain & Guide: 0 Kayazy Eliminators - Leader & Grunt: 5 Kayazy Eliminators - Leader & Grunt: 5 Lady Aiyana & Master Holt - Lady Aiyana & Master Holt: 8
I don't advance move the mariner. I keep it next to magnus for lash/escort/loader. The 4 nomads, idrians, eliminators are so fast they're in the enemies face top of 2. Normally I can jam turn 2 and save feat for turn 3 giving me a lot of time to set up a scenario win. Mariner can kill the objective if there is one and mariner, renegade, eiryss1 can get an assasination if thwy don't play safe.

I made this post to judge reactions to the list. I dont know how well it performs and dropping $150+ on 5 nomads is risky without playtesting. Instead of say a unit or 2 of steelhead halbs that cost the same as a nomad and dont require focus.
It appears theres alot of qualitative data to suggest it performs well. Im interested in solos people are taking with their builds. Alot of people seem to be taking ragman, eiryss 1, hutchuk, gorman, anastasia, and orin.
Also pairing. I own ossrum and thexus 60 drudge spam. I feel like ossrum double dwarf, double engine, spray bunnies, double artillery, herne and jon would compliment him well.

Eiryss1 is more or less essential to the list's ranged assassination potential. If you can get a Buccaneer knockdown on the enemy caster, followed by an Eiryss1 Disruptor Bolt, then the caster is at the mercy of two POW14 brutal damage mortar shots without power-up or transfers. That is a serious threat to most casters in the game. Opponents should recognise this so either have to play cagey with their caster, or prioritise Eiryss1 as a target. Anastasia - one of the few 3 point (or fewer) options available. The only other possibility worth considering would be Meg, but bonus to first turn is always good and it is possible that Magnus2's feat can help get in range for Anastasia to actually pull off Espionage (still quite unlikely, but still). Hutchuk - less essential, but Ambush works well with Magnus2's feat and he's another source of knockdown for possible assassination. Orin and Ragman do their usual thing, but Ragman + Calamity is serious ARM cracking where required.

You take 5 Nomads for the ARM 21 skew. Halberdiers give them anti-infantry targets. Double Eliminators should be in every Irregulars list. Artillery are there for long range support and a free turn of shooting as merc ranged choices are so-so. Ragman should be in every list he can be. Orin kills more dudes than any other solo in the game and brings arcane vortex to boot. Eiryss1 is dangerous with puppet master but Soong's list won't kill casters. Eilish is just broadly useful. Soong always takes Anastasia, period. Magnus2 will beat almost any melee army in the game. He will lose to Cygnar levels of guns.

Eiryss1 is dangerous with puppet master but Soong's list won't kill casters. It's not quite so simple as it won't. Ranged assassination (or assassination in general) is not the primary win condition for the list. But the ranged threat is enough to give many casters cause for concern. That's worth a free solo much of the time.

Two brutal damage POW14s on a caster with no focus or fury hurts (which is why Eiryss is so important) and makes quantity less important on one turn. On many casters (ARM16 or so is quite common), each hit is 8 or 9 damage on average rolls. [8 or 9]x2 is about the typical number of hit points of a caster (most are around 16). So opponents have to be wary of it, especially with knockdown from the Buccaneer (17" threat). I'm not saying that it is the list's primary win condition, but there is a credible ranged assassination threat if the list includes Eiryss1 and it would be foolish to ignore it.

You can totally ranged assassinate. Feat turn can trap a caster if they arent careful. Then you position your guns for aim and shoot at them next turn, hit confirm eiryss, calamity them, harm them( then 2 rat 8 pow 12+4s from holt, renegadeand mariner shot in my list and boom... dead caster.

Eiryss1 Calamity, harm, 2 holt pow 16s, orin boosted pow 14,2 pow 18 brutal damage. That kills a lot of casters. The "(in my list)" was to differentiate that my list had 2 jacks with boostable guns instead of two brutal damage artillery. Thanks for contributing absolutely nothing to the conversation with your shit stain of a comment.
