I am gonna re-post what I put in the grymkin thread as it is more relevant here and add some extra commentary Thyra has always caught my eye as an amazing caster. Really her only downside is Focus 6. What would really impress me is if you ran thyra in Creators might and made it work I think she can even run that theme well but it takes...work I planned on running her in Interdiction because Pow 15 Knights Exemplar combined with her feat seems legit. She just works well with anything you bring her in. This is the list: Thyra: -Blood of Martyrs -Sanctifier (tasty menite souls...) 2 Wracks 2 Knights E Sennys Min Chior (pow 20-22 blessed BoM FTW!) Max errants -UA 2X Knights E -UA Max Idrians -UA (did you know you can take him free in this theme?) Its not as fast but +2 deployment means the AD line is about a 25 Inch line of the table (going off of errants) I think occultation on the errants and let the idrians use terrain and natural survive-ability with the minifeat keep them alive until the errants inevitably explode. Probably better with double venegers in the long run though. What I still am not sold on is regular paladins. Champs and Vilimon have me hooked but regular paladins seem like a silly waste of points. for the same cost as the 3 of them you could have had another heavy or a min unit of zealots with the UA. Idrians continue to be the best infantry in faction...which is sad. They are better in close combat than the weapon-master errants lol. I think champions are excellent solos. We really got a nice gem just from their raw combat potential, threat range, and survive-ability. I plan on getting 2 along with the revelator for Christmas

Thyra is an astoundingly good 'caster. I don't think anyone thinks otherwise. Love the look of this list. It's a great all-comers and certainly does well into armies that don't feature a deluge of infantry (and even then, Idrians). Really funny to read about Vilmon. Poor little dude. macdaddy: Idrians are only better than Errants in close combat against their Prey target and with the charge. Otherwise, Errants outshine them. That said, I still think Errants need something.

One of which as I learned this weekend is to kill the target yourself, as I found out when I was fighting against an EI force with Calaban.

I am not really sure how that denies Prey. They get to swap it right after the prey is destroyed or rfp’d.

Idrians do have a bigger threat range (melee and ranged), CRA, a good mini-feat and innate pathfinder going for them.
Thyra is, in essence, a pure enabler. And that can make anything good.

Really intrigued to see Thyra outside of guardians. She feels like a caster who can go anywhere and do anything.
Storytime;
Played a game last night with thyra into kaya2, lots of beasts. It isn't an amazing match up from the start, and I made it a lot worse by losing my warjacks in turn 2 (sigh). Scenario was Standoff.
However, I held on, and found myself winning on scenario and time in turn five. Thyra (on her own no less) busily clearing and holding the enemies(!) Rectangle and getting a toe in the right circle zone to score both, Pyrrhus using beat back from his Shield to knock beasts out of zones, temple flameguard forming a vertical shieldwall to hold the centre as the line of engagement switched to bring from left to right.... Just ridiculous and amazing fun. The circle player couldn't believe it, and neither could I.

Since I bought into PoM I've only been funning Thyra in FM. It's pretty fantastic. The hardest thing to deal with is when I place that wall in my own blasted way.
The feat apparition can let the idrians aim. get jacks out of jams. and Blood of Martyrs obviously just gets a football field threat range. Though I don't own any paladins I don't see any problem at all running them. Especially champions get to place out of combat for a charge attempt with the lance.
