So thought this up after facing Sons of the Tempest, and wondering if KoN could, in fact, have game into that. It's a silly idea, but could be potentially hilarious.
KoN +28 Cage Rager x2 - 28 2 Crabbits - 7 2 Crabbits - 0 4 Gorehound - 24 4 Rattler - 32 4 Gremlin Swarm - 0 Karianna Rose - 4 min Dread Rot - 7 (to provide targets for Sands of Fate)
Not sure if it'd actually work into Sons of the Tempest, as a cloud wall won't work, but if you could successfully get 2-3 Rattlers into their lines, gunmages just dissolve. Anyways, thought it was funny, wanted to share.

I'd be more inclined to just play several heavies with the Dreamer. Stick Artifice of Deviation on Skin and Moans and you're DEF 17. Gun mages don't like needing tens to hit. You can get to that number with the Rattlers too. Even better, just play Old Witch 3 with Hollowmen and shoot them as they can't shoot back at you

My first game vs Sons was with Dreamer, managed to win by basically doing exactly that and my opponent making mistakes, otherwise I would have certainly lost (he was using Caine1, so Deadeye makes hitting much easier). Second game (same opponent) I took Old Witch with piggybacks, which tanked quite well. So this isn't really to counter Sons, that was just what started me thinking. I just want to see how well a bunch of lights with King works.

Dropping a Swarm for another bunny might not be bad by itself. Four Swarms has felt like overkill in a few games.

When transferring damage to one of my beasts and it dies due to the transfer. Is it than possible to use Kingdom of Silence and cast Sands of Fate to get of of the way?

I have played Caine 1 Sons into Grymkin a couple of times, If I were a Grymkin player I would opt for Dark Menagerie and lots of Heavies, as Pistoleer requires being in melee, Sons struggles to crack armour at range. With regards to the Thunderbolting issue, I would just wedge the Death Knell behind all the heavies to stop them being pushed back, and then just position very aggressively. It is very tough to remove the Death Knell at range, even with Boosted pow 10s, and you can just Shield Guard any higher pow Hunter or Defender shots

King of nothing runs better in bump I think, you get better free models and access to cask imps.. I never find I really need the cage rager for arc node since he has sands of fate. He's got more than enough fury to manage his battlegroup.. and you also get lord longfellow who will just end games for you at times. I still take a fairly large battlegroup with him, 4 crabbits, 2 rattlers, 2 gorehounds.. and you get so much more variety in your infantry choices.
