Laddermore: Vet Leader and lightning generator are pretty sweet Pallychamp: Girded isn't really a reason to bring him though it's not a bad solo? Gravus: brother's keeper (no kd/stationary for exemplars) is very good with the casualty roll system. Access to boosts is neat. Fenris: Relentless charge is still a solid benefit Drakhun: is just an 8box arm8 solo Darragh: still has all his spells. Issyen: just a shield guard/beatstick Horthol: just a solo that will crit smite once in a blue moon Morraig: just vet leader Rhadeim: just a solo, though arm piercing is powerful with extra dice thrown in

Huh, just looked at Laddermore's card and she's changed a lot from what I remember. Did she get changed mid-MkIII or am I just remembering the MkII version (who lost all her special rules when she was dismounted)?
I guess Fenris would be a pretty cool super solo dismounted, the question is can you keep him alive long enough?

If using fenris and doomies, I think you should strongly consider to make Your Commander a mission specialist Koldun lord (i dont know if there is enough Points for that). Stopping enemy shooting in a 12" radius around the koldun lord should do Wonders to keep Your doomies alive.

I might have to try it...

Koldun Lord Mission Specialist is so mean in Company of Iron. I love it so much. My gf's lady tharns are practically useless. She may leave me.
Fingers crossed Fenris is 5 points with no horse.

Ran one of the Feast of the Fallen scenarios last night using Fenris as commander, ternions, and min assassin's/underboss. Used the Heart Eater command card from event. Fenris single handedly took out 4 shield wall skorn models(forget name) it's a pretty dumb combo.

Just downloaded my copy of NQP 2. All of the dragoons are requisition 0. Fenris is 5 points and the Drakhun is 4.

I hear that MOW are actually pretty good, and of course Widowmakers. They have a requisition penalty but you can mix them with Winterguard or something. I have toyed with the idea of using Widowmakers and a couple solos for a deliberately low model count. If you are outnumbered 2 to 1 you get +1 hand size, and they can probably pick off a couple enemy grunts before they even really do anything.

I have been using the Koldun lord with mission specialist min assault kommandos with 1 flamethrower and min demo corp. My main opponent has been a Grymkin player with dreadrots hollowmen and piggybacks. I have wiped the table every game so far.

I played my first Company of Iron game last night and ran Fenris as the Guerrilla Fighter commander, a unit of Doomreavers with Escort, and a Koldun Lord. It was my first game, and I'd missed this thread, or would have made the Koldun my commander and that would have been sick. Just sick.
I played against a Dwarf gunline. I did fine. Fenris at 5 points is a damn boss. One round I had a Mission card which allowed me to have an extra attack roll for each of my doomreavers, and on another I gave my doom reavers an extra die of damage on attack rolls. Sick. Just sick.
Anyway, the rules seem to balance out shooting, and the added Tough + Rise from the Escort made the doomreavers just fine. Berserk plus Silence in this format is solid gold.
I would play this list again.
