Well I really like the concept of Kayazy Assasins, but Im thinking about how best to utilize them and their Boss, and thus Backstab. These are probably gimmicky ideas, but I still want the communities thoughts about them:
Here is my thought process:
So at the points level that they exist (With Underboss and all) is 13/19 which is comparable to Iron Fang Pikemen (Also 13/19 With Attachment) and A Bit More Expensive than the Rifle Core with Joe (12/17), or a Rifle Core with Joe, and a Rocketeer on an equivalent Point Cost.
Comparably they get +1 Point of Defense, -1 Armor from Iron Fangs and -2 from Pikemen (Obviously not in a shield wall).
Speedwise they sit at an exactly the same 6, Accuracy wise they are 8 with Gang, which is slightly better than WGRC with a Joe boost or Default Iron Fangs. Damage wise they do about as much (With gang) as Damage Boosted WGRC, or 1 less then IF.
They can be defined by Stealth, Duelist, +2 Defense when in Melee, and Kill-stroke (Trying to use all parts of the buffalo here), also maybe anatomical Precision.
After that here are my general musings on what they could do better then our other stuff if we wanted to use them:
Thankfully enough they seem to hit pretty hard and accurate on their own, and Anatomical precision means they can kill most living single wound infantry on their own. But against heavier targets I see utility in using them to put them in bad positions:
Similarly to how I have seen some Menites use Daughters, Having these guys just run and Engage the Bum of Enemy stuffs (And Warstuffs) seems like a viable option. Either they move away and trigger a Free strike, but if they leave them alone, they could Kill Stroke the next turn.
Another alternative is a Charge and then a reposition to the back (Possible with Irusk 1, Kozlov and Malakov). Or Charge with a Few and run behind them with a few. The target will not be able to turn around without Triggering a Free Strike.
I see lots of potential in the Jaws of the Wolf Theme Force with them in Mixed Infantry Armies, using them as backstrikers, and gummer uppers whislt the Warjacks hit up front:
Decimators can Provide Blast Protection With casters that can't provide it
Malakov can allow back strikes easier with Viel of Mists and Tactical Superiority
Irusk 1 Also Provides Tactical Superiority, and can help staying power with Iron Flesh. In addition, he can gum up enemies with Inhospitable Ground, which if it gums up the enemy enough could allow the fellows to bounce around the target
Strahkov 2 Really Helps them with Speed, so they could just run a flat 16 Inches
Kozlov again gain provide superior speed and reposition
Sounds Kinda Gimmicky but also Fun! Depending on the provided support they could be very difficult to remove, allowing your Jacks to Advance closer or slow targets down whilst damaging them. Might work well against enemies you know have longer threat Ranges then ours (Like the Legion) even if they do ignore stealth.
I dunno. What does everybody think? Stupid tactical thought?
