Hello again all! The sample lists and advice I got here last time was fantastic so looking for a little more of the same. I've been playing a lot of small 35 point games, mostly because my play group lacks models but we are all slowly working our way up to 50 points. My model collection is mostly jacks and solos so I figured for building a 50 point theme force I should go Heavy Metal. I'd love advice on fitting what models I have into a working theme list. I am excluding troops as I mostly just have trenchers and they don't fit into the Heavy Metal theme and I don't have enough to go Gravediggers. My model inventory follows: Warcasters: - Major Victoria Haley (Most used so far)
- Captain Allison Jakes (Think I have a crush on this one)
- Commader Coleman Stryker
Light Jacks:
- Charger x2
- Lancer x2
- Thorn
- Firefly
- Hunter x2
Heavy Jacks: - Ironclad x3
- Defender x2
- Cyclone
- Centurion
Solos: - Squire
- Junior Warcaster
- Lieutenant Allison Jakes
- Archduke Runewood
- Captain Arlan Strangewayes
I play in a group that is mostly hordes so I will be facing off Legion/Trollbloods/Grimkin quite frequently so I am open to suggestions for facing off versus those enemies. We will also start using scenarios as well as we have just been doing straight up fights so scenarios will be a new experience. Open to suggestions for my next model purchases too.
Thanks again so much!

In scenario play it is advisable to have one or two units to score circular zones. Your caster can score zones as well but that might but them in a spot they don't want to be in.
I would suggest a unit of mechanics, they can fix your Jack's and score circular zones

This is close to a list I used about a year ago for a small tournament
Theme: Heavy Metal 2 / 2 Free Cards 49 / 50 Army
Captain Allison Jakes - WJ: +28 - Squire - PC: 0 - Centurion - PC: 17 (Battlegroup Points Used: 17) - Charger - PC: 9 (Battlegroup Points Used: 9) - Lancer - PC: 10 (Battlegroup Points Used: 2) - Ironclad - PC: 12 - Defender - PC: 16
Captain Arlan Strangewayes - PC: 4 Journeyman Warcaster - PC: 0 - Charger - PC: 9
It is a mixed ranged/melee. Idea is to use the chargers and defender to soften targets up while the centurion clogs up charge lanes (the version I played had 2 centurions). When your opponent gets something into walking range of the Centurion it is time to switch melee.

War Room Army
Cygnar - New Army
Theme: Heavy Metal 2 / 2 Free Cards 50 / 50 Army
Commander Coleman Stryker - WJ: +30 - Squire - PC: 0 - Centurion - PC: 17 (Battlegroup Points Used: 17) - Defender - PC: 16 (Battlegroup Points Used: 13) - Ironclad - PC: 12 - Charger - PC: 9 - Lancer - PC: 10
Captain Arlan Strangewayes - PC: 0 Journeyman Warcaster - PC: 4 - Charger - PC: 9
Field Mechaniks - Crew Chief & 3 Grunts: 3
THEME: Heavy Metal --- Think you might have a bit more luck with something like this. Coleman has more utility than the other casters you listed.

You're fairly jack heavy, and I notice that you've got no units. You may want to consider a screening unit. I love Sword Knights with Stryker1, because blur makes them DEF16 to shooting, and they'll be DEF15 in melee. Very nice. Also, you can take them in Heavy Metal.
