Has anybody tried marshaling Sirens in LoD? The threat isn't as far as the Griffon, of course, but it's got a gun for the approach that can take advantage of Take Aim, is magical and RFP, has blessed magical fists that hit harder that the Griffon's halberd, and can two handed-throw at almost the same STR as our heavies,
The list I'd like to try:
War Room Army
Retribution of Scyrah - Elara2-Lynus&Edrea
Theme: Legions of Dawn 2 / 2 Free Cards 70 / 75 Army
Elara, Death's Shadow - WJ: +28 - Sylys Wyshnalyrr, The Seeker - PC: 0 - Phoenix - PC: 18 (Battlegroup Points Used: 18) - Phoenix - PC: 18 (Battlegroup Points Used: 10)
Dawnguard Sentinel Scyir - PC: 0 - Siren - PC: 8 Dawnguard Sentinel Scyir - PC: 4 - Siren - PC: 8 Arcanist Mechanik - PC: 2 Arcanist Mechanik - PC: 2
Dawnguard Invictors - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 - Dawnguard Invictor Officer & Standard - Officer & Standard: 4 Dawnguard Sentinels - Leader & 9 Grunts: 18
THEME: Legions of the Dawn
-----------------
The list also has Lynus and Edrea. With Applied Knowledge, the marshaled Sirens each break a heavy without any focus investment.
Thoughts?

Are L&E getting an errata so they work for us? I thought Edrea hated The Retribution.

Isn't the free solos for every 20 pts of Dawnguard? Does that count Scyrs that you pay for?
Either way, the CA for Sentinels is an Auto-Include for me. I'd rejig the points to include them.
The Siren's capabilities are pretty much perfect pairs to Sentinels. They move at the same speed, and hit like bricks, especially with the Flanking ability.

If you are going for two I'd recommend harpys. You dont really have the focus using just two arcanists to drive sirens to do much. I think the strike true jackmarshal power combined with ROF2 will make for a better pairing.
How are sirens breaking a heavy without focus investment? 2x power 16 doesnt get very far. Or are you counting sithing touch and concentrated power?
In either case for a marshaled jack I'd take the harpy. Flight + ROF2 > +1 pow and an ability that depends on focus.

Under Elara2 with Scything Touch, Boundless Charge, Concentrated Power, Applied Knowledge, a flank buddy and Crush.
So it's a Mat 8, POW 20/18 Blessed weapon master with three attacks and picks where the damage goes. You can scalpel out the cortex and both arms pretty easily like that. Heck, throw two of them at a Hyperion without any focus and it's very dead.
The Harpy is a consideration, but that Blessed and the Boneshaker gun looks handy.

Yea, if you tag it with both spells it gets way better. If your shooting for that I'd try to upgrade one to a hydra. I don't think both need to be hydras but having one that gets focus turn 1 and sits on it really helps the anarchists out. They don't all have to Shepard the marshaled jacks and if the opportunity arises both marshaled jacks can be sent in with solid power on the same turn.
I'll be trying all three options out at some point.

Not under the CID rules. It applies to any model.

My bad. I only saw the update where they gained will work for Ret and crucible gaurd. I am guessing there was another update?

They got updated again like 48hrs before the CID closed. It seemed to me like they were trying to see what egregious interactions were produced by the unrestricted version of applied knowledge and were planning to dial it back after the cycle ended. Lots of people raised concerns about huge-based shooting models like hurricanes and AFG's becoming excessively difficult to approach. Given the generally negative feedback they got about the ability, I'd be surprised if there isn't a tweak like restricting it to "large-based or smaller models."

I agree that I doubt it will remain in its current state though I am more inclined to see it be limited to melee attacks then limited by base size. Not that I don't want it to work from ranged it just seems more reasonable to limit it that way. I would love Applied Knowledge HRTs and Invictor CRAs.
