repulsor shield is one of those abilities that looks better on paper than it is in practice. its very easy to stop something from being pushed by repulsor shield, you just have to stick another model behind it so it cant be pushed. also since a lot of models have 1" reach now, that 1" push just doesnt mean as much as it used to. I wish push was 1d3" instead of 1" then it would be a little more useful. both on repulsor shield and as a power attack. Sort of. You definitely get better mileage when your opponent cannot make BtB contact. Thanks to premeasuring, you can minimize this. Put the Revenger/Blessing just 1/4" inside their heavy's threat range and try to bait a charge. There are plenty of ways to prevent btb contact, and sometimes people just forget. And of course we have the famous Biscuit-Maneuver to use it offensively. The bigger problem here is having justification to take the arc node in the first place.

I want to, at some point, do Sevvy1 repulsor spam and see if people can handle it. Just an entire fleet of revengers lead by blessing? Seems pretty hilarious. Something like this? Sevvy2: Creators Might -Hierophant -Blessing -5 Revengers -Vigilant 2 vassals Max idrians with UA max chior Profit?

Well, I'm amazed and thankful for the awesome response to this thread. I'm glad at least that Menoth's chosen arc node is used (and possibly even in pairs) I probably will actually be playing my revengers (Unlike the duo of lancers that I own and I only ever played one.) It's worth nothing also that the revenger is the first thing menoth I have painted. I'm not hard enough to spam 8 of them, but 2 I might try, especially with Thyra, Harbinger, and I may even test them with Feora3, since Molten Metal actually looks like an awesome spell.

It'd be interesting to have a set list of casters who REALLY want, or need to have an arc node.
Severius1, Severius2, Tristan2, Reznik1 (from memory)....

The real question, rather than who wants an arc node, it should instead be who wants a Revenger over a Guardian.
I would argue that 3eoss, Thyra, and maybe Reznik probably since they have single target buffs that would work better with a single heavy than a pair of lights.

I'd argue thyra doesn't need an arc node. She doesn't mind one but gates of death makes it so that she doesn't really need one

I'd argue thyra doesn't need an arc node. She doesn't mind one but gates of death makes it so that she doesn't really need one IMO shes in the "really wants" category because of Stranglehold, and because slinging buffs and table position might require her to be in more places than she can be.
