Proposed CID Changes:
How does it change things for us?
The healing part is minor, but can be situationally useful with casters like Stryker2 or when facing things with feedback.
The important part is that now Edrea can dispel clouds, so can be used agaist cloudwalls.
Does this opens some new options or matchups for us?
Does this worries us with Trenchers and Haley3? (also, they now work for Crucible Guard and Retribution too).

I'm not sure this changes anything. I'm still flummoxed by this unit. I see the value in Wind Burst but can't imagine paying this unit's cost for such a situational ability.
It might hurt Haley3 since it doesn't need to target an enemy model.

Whilst I've not been using them in Cygnar I have been using them in their current form and the proposed change means very, very little to me. I'm playing them for two reasons, the first is that I want to (I like the models more than most PP sculpts) and second is that they fulfil a cute role for scenarios. 5pts for an inoffensive utility unit is a small price to pay and wind barrier can make them harder to deal with than opponents first expect. A true sight magic attack is also worth something when you consider the meteoric rise in popularity of gremlin swarms. Even with arcane bolt Edrea is pretty reliable for zapping one base a turn. With this new spell she's got some extra utility on top of that.
However, this still doesn't raise their value in my eyes, be it for Cygnar or any other faction. About the only value for poor old Lynus' applied knowledge ability will be on the trencher long gunner leading a massive CRA double tap.

This seems like a change that'd hurt Haley3 in theory, but in practice it probably won't. As they are, it seems rather unlikely that someone would decide to include them in a list.

In the last update they got another change. Now Applied Knowledge works on every model, so Lynus can somehow explain his theories to a Stormwall and the colossal suddenly gets able to snipe away Cortexes and Spirits like there is no tomorrow.
Does this make them more compelling? (Leaving aside the fluff aberration, it's a lost cause to talk about it...).

Consider taking out a spirit or cortex of a beast and leaving it knocked down and unable to shake it with a Hurricane.

Consider taking out a spirit or cortex of a beast and leaving it knocked down and unable to shake it with a Hurricane. Exactly. It makes it real compelling with, say, Siege 1 and a Hurricane. The other thing that is real interesting is how cheap they are, 5 points and a four point solo are 9 points total. If your goal is to play these guys and, say, Ragman, then you can still milk 3 free solos in Storm Division. All of our casters aside from Caine3 can get 3 free solos in Heavy Metal.

...you can still milk 3 free solos... Nope. Can we agree never to use that phrasing again? Please?

Unfortunately you cannot take Siege 1 with a Hurricane in Storm Division with 3 free slots and take Lynus and Edrea
60 + 39 + 5 = 104
Siege 1 only has 103 points. You could drop down to 2 free slots and fit both Lynus & Edrea and Ragman, or like you said go for Heavy Metal but obviously not take Ragman

I'm convinced they won't come out that way... or hopeful at least...

True but this is a first and only iteration... and they got a significant legup with the cloud removal thingy. The applied knowledge seemed like an idea they wanted to float by.
