Ah, Tombstone. Anyway, played a local tournament today and ran into a Ret player playing Elara with four full units of Halberdiers. I had Siege 1 Storm Division with Stormwall, 6 Stormcallers, Strider, Lances. Turn 2 I placed a pod and managed to make Triangulations with four Stormcallers under Feat. I killed 29 Halberdiers and some light jack that turn and the five guys hiding in cover were very satisfying too. I'm not saying it is an amazing list or even a well played game, but that was one of the most fun Warmachine moments I've had. I know it is easy to gripe about some of the decisions PP makes, but today reminded me that it is still a very enjoyable game. Also, new Triumph is great.

One of the really fun things I've noticed about Mark3 is that a lot of people in my meta are willing to pull out old models they considered shelf material and give them a spin again, at least just for fun and to see how they do. I think stormcallers are in that category for a lot of people. They don't see much play, but when they do they can really surprise the hell out of people who haven't seen them. I managed to kill about 20 banes with a Storm Strider, Firefly, and Laddermore one turn with all of those leaps, it was quite amazing. Still lost to Terminus charging the hell out of the rest of my army and single handedly destroying most of it.

The new Triumph, with Siege, is fantastic. At 18 points he costs the same as Dynamo and they both feel really relevant. Dynamo is still the bestest ranged jack ever, but two boosted POW15 every turn and true sight and such is just great. I also like your tech with the Strider and POD and callers. I really think we might see more and more storm callers, they counter quite a bit in the meta and the Strider and POD combo make them very useable. Getting around all sort of defensive tech is great and the magical weapon with a Stealth out is really good.
