Hey there, I've been playing mercs up to dawn of mkIII, stepped back just when 3Caine's card was shown (from simple frustration that first human caster for mercs in several years was not really designed for playing in mercs) Im just comming back to hobby, with Cygnar this time ( since Mags is back in country and Julius sits on the throne, its quite easier for me fluff-wise ) Just made my first list. I love trenchers esthetics, so gravediggers were natural choice War Room Army Cygnar - pHaley Gravediggers 35 Theme: Gravediggers 1 / 1 Free Cards 34 / 35 Army Captain Victoria Haley - WJ: +27 - Ironclad - PC: 12 (Battlegroup Points Used: 12) - Thorn - PC: 13 (Battlegroup Points Used: 13) - Hunter - PC: 10 (Battlegroup Points Used: 2) Commander Anson Hitch - PC: 4 Ragman - PC: 4 Patrol Dog - PC: 2 Trencher Infantry - Leader & 9 Grunts: 16 - Trencher Infantry Officer & Sniper - Officer & Sniper: 0 THEME: Gravediggers Please tell me if it is worth something, and if it is viable starting models

Hi and welcome.
This seems like a good start.
The only thing i would be hesitant about is captain haley herself. She is one of our worst.

Hi and welcome. This seems like a good start. The only thing i would be hesitant about is captain haley herself. She is one of our worst. Wouldn't say that. Haley1 isn't bad, but her signiture spell (temporal barrier) is awful. Without it, she has a disruption spell (great), deadeye (good), Arcane Shield (Great), arcane vortex (useful), and a powerful feat that takes forever to resolve. I don't play her because looking at temporal barrier makes me sad. But the rest of her kit is fine. Other casters to look into for those new to Cygnar: Stryker1 Nemo1 Caine1 Maddox Intermediate: Stryker2 Siege1 Siege2

Ok real talk! I think you will find that Haley 1 is perfectly fine, have you tried sitting her behind a couple of Centurions?....

Ok real talk! I think you will find that Haley 1 is perfectly fine, have you tried sitting her behind a couple of Centurions?.... Yeah, I've heard that works really well. Then you can get enemy models in her command range. Totally no assassinations happening here. /sarcasm

Ok real talk! I think you will find that Haley 1 is perfectly fine, have you tried sitting her behind a couple of Centurions?.... Yeah, Real talk®! No need to explain you why we kept the SPD debuff in a way that is totally an useless suicide, or even less why we also lowered her warjack points for reasons that you will understand soon with new releases(*), my buddy Will Pagani was already so kind to explain you that with two Centurions in front of her maybe she could manage to survive while spending 4 focus to acheive exactly nothing, so while you could say that the SPD debuff is useless, it's clear that we devs do not agree, and that is great! #Will ShickDestroying AnyKind OfFaith IHad InThe DevTeam *: Did someone understand, after all this time, why it was necessary to lower her WJ points? I still can't find a problematic combo that was possible with one extra point, and was made ineffective with that change...

That aside, as others have said, Haley1 isn't terrible. You can play her, but Temporal Barrier is almost never worth to cast, expecially since you have Deadeye for RAT fixing, and in general you would probably be able to play a similar list with other casters better.
For Gravediggers, I think Haley3 plays them much better, while I admit that she is a little hard to play as first cygnar caster. Another good one would probably be Siege2.
