You're not allowed to have that many markers on the table at the same time (the limit is 1 per SR2017).

I lost Thor because he had Annyssa Ryvaal running down the flank. Stealth meant I couldn't pin her down, and he had picked one of my artillery as his prey target. I used smoke bombs from one unit of tac and my Avalancher to block LoS to the Artillery, and had brun and lug try and block LoS to Thor, but he was able to move into a position where, when we used a laser, he was just outside of counter charge from lug, and had exactly one sliver of a bead on Thor. He took shot one, hit and it went to the Avalancher. Shot two also hit, and because of poison, saw a dead Thor . I did manage to pin her down and kill her though is subsequent turns... but the loss of the Thor really hurt what I was able to do with the Avalancher. You are correct though, the ability to stretch out from Gorten was pretty nice, and I got a TON of work outta Brun and Lug that game.

You're not allowed to have that many markers on the table at the same time (the limit is 1 per SR2017). You are mistaken. A table marker is an item used by a player to mark a specific place on the board that does not represent an in-game effect or a model’s current placement. For example, a player might use a table marker to indicate the threat range of an enemy warjack or to determine if a friendly model will fit into a specific space after charging an enemy. Players can use only the following items as table markers: 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, and 120 mm markers; 3 ̋, 4 ̋, and 5 ̋ AOE templates; wall templates; and small beads or coins.A player cannot have more than two table markers on the table at any time. If you place a third table marker on the table, you must immediately remove at least one of your other table markers. This limit does not apply during deployment. Players can use any number of table markers to mark the edge of their deployment and advance deployment zones but must remove those markers before the first turn begins.

crow Your dad sounds like a pro player. Next time keep Thor way back and engage the annoying elk-lady with trample+repo 3-5" trick. I also have to admit that I don't own any rhulic battle engines, so I may be a little bit biased against them (incidentially I also own two Avalanchers) . We probably all agree that both models are powerful (when taken single or in pairs) for their point cost?

Oh yeah, dwarf stuff currently is pretty sweet with the exception of highshields and OAC. Other than them I'd say pretty much everything has a niche somewhere (I even choose to believe the Earthbreaker has a place). Also as I've said before, your list you shared works awesome as is! I just happen to have two units of forge guard that are looking at me like "why you no run us?" and I feel bad for them . My only problem now is although I own one of everything dwarven (with the exception being two units of forge guard) I now need to double up
