That's right and if the Vessel of Judgement only goes up to 30 boxes, the least that most battle engines will go up to, then that will help it. And remember that the Vessel of Judgement has amongst the highest boxes of all the battle engines(currently at 24), so I doubt that it's only going up to 30, I just like to temper my expectations. I really want to know what the Vessel of Judgment gets on top of a hit box increase. Caustic Presence and Fuel for the Flames look like good ideas, but Caustic Presence wants you to get too close and Fuel for the Flames wants you to get even closer. I would like to see something that interacts with fire or infantry. I agree I want something that will help the infantry even more. What it has now is good but I truly want something like a def buff or a speed buff for infantry, maybe based on command range? Something that helps but isnt overpowered? Adding that and leaving the points would even be worth it to me.

I'm not so sure that we're going to get a straight SPD buff that isn't on a caster, although granting Vengeance seems about right. Hallowed Avenger also has the right feel, but gets crazy quite quickly. I would like something that causes the 'Damned if you do, damned if you don't' type play that I love so much. I honestly think that our battle engine is the closest to working properly, but it just isn't quite there.

Remember that Thyra can give it occultation. 'You can't see me!' - John Cena Sadly huge bases cannot gain the benefits of stealth. That is incorrect. Colossals can not gain the benefits of stealth, from the 'Great Machine' rule. Battle engines don't have that rule, and so can benefit from Occultation. Also, battle engines don't have the same movement restrictions as colossals, so the VoJ can be placed with Thyra's feat.

Vengeance is probably what I would like to see and what would fit best in Menoth without it being too out of control. Im with you I myself enjoy big risk big reward type of play. So HA would be nice but it is unlikely to happen we have to many things that could make it broken.

I would like to see something out-of-turn.
Either a Penitence-style effect with a pow10-12 unboostable damage roll, or something like a reverse-warpath - If one of your dudes dies, then another one gets to move 3" immediately...

I would buy the base. There will be updates to all battle engines and I suspect the VoJ is going to get some nice buffs in the new update. More boxes, possibly some passive support abilities? Love the model and it gives you something to do during the Battle engine CID cycle

I honestly think that our battle engine is the closest to working properly, but it just isn't quite there. If the TEP is not "Working properly" I am horrified to think what it is actually supposed to look like (Mars Attacks I suppose). I kid though, the idea of the vessle being improved is neat, and I think you are on the right track thinking infantry buffing likely. The Grimkin look, to me anyway, to be an attempt to swing the meta back towards infantrymachine. Given how more recent Battle Engines have been working I feel like a soul collection mechanic might be worked in. If it could collect souls then use them (preferably for boosts, or saves for infantry) then I will be a happy camper. Sure, there are already tons of collection mechanics in protectorate, but adding another one would free up some design space for something that would be good with reclaimer if it "didnt" collect souls, and therefore deserve a list of its own with a different caster. Could push the caster meta a little.

I have been using Templar together with Tristran Durant and a Vessel with some success in objective play in Crusaders might list. I've been picking rack 3, Durant and Vessel as free cards. Either oponent focus to much attention on it and focus to little on my Amon/Dervish/Crusader combo or they focus to little on it and they just cant remove it. Depending on positioning you can get an Mechanic up in there if you lose the shield or something nasty like that.
I'm a noob thou, so my experiance is from casual gaming.
