Looking to buy 3 or 4 talons for a merc list, but the model is just so damn ugly, was wondering if anyone has done any good Talon conversions, whether using the actual model or classis from other factions (lancer, revenger etc...)?

I have a pair of plastic lancers I'd bought cheap to convert to Talons. They're just a bit big. I have to figure out how to shrink them down a bit, maybe by cutting and pinning in the torso or hips. I just haven't been inspired yet. I might have a look this week.

I also used a lancer for a talon. I also used an ironclad with weapon swaps for a nomad. I wanted to accent the idea of Cygnar sending old jacks to Llael.

I'd like to see some Talon conversions as well. With the Mk III possibility for broader merc integration in armies, I was pondering a Talon with Dirty Meg in a mostly Rhulic for force. I even thought about a Rhulic looking variant but other hobby projects took precedence.

Not technically within the conversion policy for major tournaments (I'm a "play with friends" level player at best), but I bought a couple grind kits and used the Lancer bodies to make 2 different sets of 3 talons. The funny thing is that the first set is not tournament legal as none of it is technically PP but not Grind/boardgame material, but the second group is tournament legal because I bought the Talon arms, weapons, and head (which come to more than 50%).

I suppose I should have been more specific. Those that do have Talon conversions, care to post pics?

I'm a terrible painter so don't judge too harshly! This was apparently the only picture I took. The three black models are converted vanguards, the elves are super simple Nyss Hunter conversions, and the 3 gold ones in the back are my first set of talons. I liked the idea that they generate the electricity for the shock lance by harnessing the reverberations of the shield when it blocks an attack, so I attached the two with a cord.

Not technically a conversion, but the couple of times I've proxied talons to test them out before finally ordering them, I used a pair of Ret. Griffons I always use out of faction models for proxies so there is zero confusion. Last time I did so, my opponent(a veteran player who also dabbles with mercs) asked how many force field boxes they had left.

That's awesome! Love the painting and the position of the spear.
