Trying to avoid going to 'generic grassland' for yet another basing theme. What I have already includes the aforementioned, arctic tundra, and swamp. I was thinking about getting the factory floor roller from greenstuffworld, but I'm not sure if that'd really produce varied enough bases.
Thoughts?

That rolling pin looks cool to me. You could always spice it up with like a metal container, boxes or even dirty up the factory floor with oil or stains.

Not the best pictures, sorry. I did a sort of abstract metallic ground theme for mine. For the solos and infantry, I glued grit to the base, did a solid wash and highlighted with contrasting metallic. For casters, I separated the bases into sections with green stuff, and did different colors on each section, with dark lines separating them. For the walking vectors, I did more vibrant orange brush and rocks, ground and rocks highlighted with metallics. So it looks like some weird scifi landscape. To be continued...

For the floaty vectors (and this is my favorite), I the same as the walkers, did that, but I assumed the repulsor beams (or whatever) that hold them off the ground would gouge furrows through the earth. I modeled the furrows with green stuff, glued honest to goodness dirt on the them, painted that dark, then added a glowy bit right under the bottom of the vector.

I'm torn between tiled temple floor (using something like Milliput and a screen door patch) or a beach theme, like the Cyrissian temple is hidden in a seaside cave like they have in Greece. I've never used sand on a base before, kind of curious on how it'll go.

I used resin bases from Dragon Forge (Lost Empire and Lost Empire Water's Edge) to represent the crumbling temple we meet Lucant in Witchfire Trilogy
