I love that color scheme; the white and purple skin looks great.

It's been pretty crazy schedule-wise. I've had the battle boxes done for a few weeks now, but haven't had time to take photos. Here's the rest of the Legion box: Neraph Shredders

These photos turned out kind of bad...I may try and retake them at some point. Tanith was a challenge. Her face and armor details were pretty mushy. I'm OK with how I got the armor, but her face is still pretty hideous as far at the shape of the plastic goes. Tanith, the Feral Song

I'm happy with the Troll Axer and Impaler. They turned out like I had them pictured in my head - something that rarely happens for me. It's important to note that I can't take credit for the hats...they came in an eBay lot I picked up, but I'm super stoked to have an Axer with a bowler hat! Impaler Axer

Finaly, I've got models I painted many years back. I will eventually get them photographed and uploaded to my painting thread, but in the meantime here's Doc Killingsworth. We used him in our Pathfinder pirate campaign recently so he was out and handy when I was taking photos today. I think I've improved over the years with my painting, but I'm happy with how Doc turned out. Doc Killingsworth

It looks like you did the best you could with a bad situation. Good job.

Great work as always. Loving the troll hats!
Maybe you could have sculpted a scarf covering Tanith's lower face? It's what I've done with a couple of models that had casting issues. Depends on whether something like would actually bother you or not; it does have a certain humour value in it's current state.

Thanks guys. My future goal is to find formulas I like to slightly vary the skin tones on my trolls - aside from the obviously different models like the Pyre, Night, etc. I like the idea of trollkin who are not all carbon copies of each other. So far I am happy with this formula of blues though so it will be my default color.
Yeah, a scarf would have probably made her look less derpy for sure. I am not too worried about going back to fix it to be honest. Mostly my focus is on the next set of models I need to get painted so I can grow the armies beyond the battle box. I have got my whelps as my next big conversion as well.

Some more stuff done since I last posted - I've still got some more photos of other new miniatures as well, but I'm working with trying to get my camera to take decent photos. I've had to go into Photoshop and adjust the brightness/saturation a bit to get them to look somewhat close to how they look in-hand. I'm not real good with my camera, but I'm learning as I go I suppose... Anyway, here's three I managed to get to acceptable photos: First up is Agathia. I had some issues with the crappy sculpt - soft features and mold lines were almost as bad as Tanith, but I managed to get this one to look decent in the end. Next up is a Druid Wilder. I'm still not happy with the photo (the mini's skin isn't as pale looking as it is here) but I couldn't seem to fix the issue. Maybe I'll try and take some more photos and experiment with my camera's setting a bit to see if that will solve the issue. This mini is one I think looks spectacular in-hand, but the photo just doesn't do it justice. I tried for a glowing amber look to the jewelry. Last up is a bit of terrain...an Orgoth (or possibly Mordh) blood fountain.

Very nice! I like the soul effects on Agathia. I think the Druid needs to be photographed against a darker background for the orange glows to stand out. The blood and glowing runes of the fountain look very good.

I've actually been thinking about trying to photograph with a darker background - I like the 'blank' clean look of a white background, but it'd definitely harder to keep the mini looking like it does - I wind up having to edit in Photoshop with mixed results and a lot of the time the colors and contrast look very different from the actual thing.
