So we can pretty much agree that the Grymkin are...different...from the usual Warmahordes faire.
What models or concepts attracted you to them, especially now that we know the whole range?
Personally I really like the Frightmare art because it has a certain resemblence to an Old Hunter...
Besides that I really like the Murder Crows who...also look like a certain Crow themed Hunter.
Aside from the Bloodborne-y models I like The Dreamer and The King Of Nothing and the Piggybacks remind me of somethingfrom Danté's Inferno or The Garden Of Earthly Delights.

The Piggybacks, Skin & Moans, Dread Rot and Hollowmen are what I like about this faction as far as minis. Piggybacks remind me of the Union workers from House Teknes. Skin & Moans is truly horrifying and not something you would ever want to see. Dread Rot, who doesn't like weird pumpkin headed farm tool wielding creeps. The Hollowmen are what I hoped Alexia's dead would look like. I am really looking forward to painting up and playing this faction.

So I'm pretty much completely out of the loop. This is actually the first time I've heard of these. Is there a particular site or page I should be paying more attention to? Where's the best place to look at the gallery and any available concept rules?

Try this: www.beastsofwar.com/liveblogentry/new-hordes-faction-reveal-check/It is a little on the fluffy side, but you will be able to have a look.

I certainly don't mind a bit of fluff. Thanks for the link!
So these guys actually look like a lot of fun - they may become my first venture into Hordes. Though I'm a little worried about balance - hopefully PP won't go the route of GW where "if every new release is overpowered and broken, then none of them are!"

The spider pistoleer looks sweet in concept. I'll grab him to paint for sure.

I think I also was attracted by that bloodborn like twistedness. The idea of something completely different with lots of interesting character to it attracted me.

I'm actually on the total opposite side in my interest for these models. I love the idea of the Heretic and the "everyone has a spark of the divine" concept.
I like the idea that he has been recruiting and redeeming souls in Urcain by showing them the truth of their divinity. Now that he has been freed, he and his ally, The Wanderer (who led all of the promising souls to the Heretic and also helped lead them out of Urcain) plan to retake the world for men, while stamping out the heretical devotion to corrupt gods!

They are actually in Community Development right now, and their stats are known, and are being tested in sort of an "open beta" as we speak. Don't worry - the faction is looking great right now, and not terribly broken. The Dev team seems very open to taking criticism and trying new ideas until something works out for everyone.

I was actually really pleasantly surprised to see how quickly they were making changes and how bold some of them were. It gave me confidence that they were willing to see the reality of the situation. I understand that some changes are going to be resisted, but as a whole it seems like they want to get it right more than they want to have already gotten it right.

Indeed, this process has made me fairly optimistic about the whole thing. Of course, we shall see what the final product brings us, but so far I think they are doing a fantastic job of responding to the testors and implimenting changes

The entire faction: The lesser of three evils, uncaged by Baba Yaga.... The Dreamer: Because I have dreams like that, that make me question reality/god/my own existence The fluff and descriptions behind some of the disturbing troops and solos... Incarnate Nightmares. If I play this faction, it is entirely in keeping to write non-linear poetry all over my troop box, burst into manic laughter, speak in tongues, and generally freak out my opponent on a regular basis.

That's certainly good news! Are the stats, lore, and rules currently freely available to anyone or just to specific beta testers? I'd love to at least be able to get a better look at these guys.
