Hello!
I thought to start up a thread for our region. With fall fast approaching, it's a perfect time to get some games in.
I am reporting from Findlay, OH.

Holy potatoes, it's a small world. Here I thought I was the only WMH player left in Findlay.

You're not alone! I have a small group that plays once in a blue moon. Mainly family and friends

Cygnar, singular. Lots of conversions and kitbashes. I played orks in that other game and never quite kicked the habit. I've been playing Warmachine since mid-to-late Mk.II, and I was playing heavy metal before it was cool, dangnabbit.

I too have a lot of orcs from the other game that won't be named..haha.
Our faction rep is: Retribution and trolls Cryx and legion Cygnar and circle Menoth Khador, cryx and skorne
A couple of us try to get in a game about once a month due to life schedule. But I can throw a date on here the next time we have a gathering, if your interested.

Sounds like a plan, certainly cheaper than tromping up to Toledo on thursdays, which is murder on my gas budget.

Yep. It's pretty okay, typically 4-5 games going on a given Thursday. They're not married to CID like some metas I've heard complained about, but there's probably someone who'd play it if you asked.
I don't go super regularly so I don't know the players all that well. They've got some serious tournamenters and some for-fun beer and pretzels types, no Player-Based-Negative-Play-Experiences either, although I've been told my skin is inordinately thick about that sort of thing, so I might not be a good yardstick.
One thing the store has, which is worth the occasional trip by itself, is a metric butt-tonne* of used stuff and parts for every game system under the sun. Best place for cheap spare parts I know north of Dayton. My Stormblades are 50% Stormblade, 50% Empire Greatswords thanks to that.
*which is 1.25 times more than an imperial butt-tonne

Hopefully this thread isn't too old that this post is missed. I play in a small four person house meta, casual games for fun. We are based in the Findlay area(Findlay, Carey, and Fostoria) and it would be awesome to be able to play more regularly with other WMH players. No real competitive experience, but we have a blast playing and have a very healthy playstyle.

Awesome!
I have this thread set to notify me of new replies so no worries about it being seen.
You in the same mini-meta as Bluebeard up there, or are there more WMH players around than I'd initially thought?
For perspective, my "old" local meta was based out of the FLGS in Findlay out on Sandusky Street, formerly known as the Dueling Grounds, now the Post Board Games Store after the change in management. There used to be a smallish weekly casual meta there but it's slowly but surely shrunk until it was just me and two people from Fostoria on Sunday afternoons. Now it's just me and I don't really bother going.
Any of that sound familiar? I have a sneaking suspicion we've all bumped into each other at one point or another we just don't recognize the others' online handles.
I'd love to get back into the game on a more regular basis though.

There are more than any of us thought I feel because I am not in bluebeard's meta. Two of the guys from my group played occasionally at the dueling grounds, but haven't played up at postboard gaming. Chances are they probably have met you before. They have been in the game for four years or so, myself and the other regular have been in for two years. We are definitely looking for more games as the weather forces us indoors more.

We primarily play at one of our member's house in Fostoria who has a very convenient setup to play multiple games at the same time. We will occasionally play at my home in Carey, but I can only support one game at a time. Again, very casual setting. We are actually playing both this coming Saturday as well as the following Saturday. If you are interested please message me and I can give you time/location.
