So most character jacks and beasts with a bond can only go into a theme with their respective caster, however there are now a few exceptions to this rule
- Zuriel and Azrael in Children of the Dragon - Mulg in Power of Dhunia
I think a case could be made to allow Brickhouse in all Heavy Metal lists, he is thematically one of our Heaviest most Metal jacks, the guys name is 'Brickhouse' for crying out loud! Do you think this is a reasonable request?

There is at least one more exception. Gethorix in Devourer's Host... And likely/hopefully Megalith in Bones. It's probably more a question of powerlvl than of logic (Why is Thunderhead in Heavy Meal and Storm Division?)... Why does Heavy Metal need a second Character jack in there?

I mean it probably does not 'need' it per se, but it would be nice to include Brickhouse in more lists that did not involve Maddox.
Also T-Head is slightly different in that he does not have a particular bond with a caster, so like Behemoth has to be specifically included otherwise he will never make a theme list.

If there is no need than lo. Please explain to me in any fluff at all why Brickhouse deserves to be in heavy metal. Mulg is in PoD because he is the king of the dire trolls and has a krielstone on his back, therefore fulfilling both the magic and the dire trolls themes. Malice and Deathjack are both unique monstrosities created by the mad necrotechs of the Scharde Islands, therefore fitting into the Frankenstein's monster theme of Infernal Machines, etc.

Brickhouse is the Heaviest Metal we have.
Heavy Metal is about being the concentration of Heavy Armour power and having Brickhouse be there would help him see the table where currently he doesn't because Maddox players recognise he isn't actually all that good with her.

My main point is that if themes are they default way of playing this game, it would be nice to be able to include some more character jacks outside of their main casters

PP seems to be moving towards allowing different characters in different themes. I think patience is the way to go.

In general, although talking about cool models we would like in themes isn't a problem. Its not like Heavy Metal is bad without him. But a couple of casters would love having access to Brickhouse for some Jank.

Maybe I am just salty that Brickhouse is with Maddox for some inexplicable reason, it would make more sense if he was with Kraye or Darius.

Then let's get Beast 09 into Jaws of the Wolf as well.
The "Jack" themes are all distinguished by having the Alpha jack of the faction in them. Not side ones necessarily.

Back on topic, if Brickhouse gets into HM, then what other possibilities would be opened up? Ace in SotT? Triumph in GDs? It would be nice to know the rationale for adding certain characters to certain themes. How much is it power level vs fluff?

Triumph is already in GD. The main desire isn't power based, it's that player's expensive character beast/jacks only have very limited use. I actually liked the idea of charcter jacks only being taken with their casters when themes first rolled out. I never liked seeing Ol' Rowdy with Caine, or Thorn with Darius. It just felt weird. But now, I think if themes are going to be the main way to play, then it makes business sense for PP to allow character jacks/beasts in different themes. I haven't bothered getting Brickhouse because he's very pricey, and running him in my Maddox list isn't better than a Stormclad of the same point cost.

Putting the character jacks into themes just makes sense. Presently their application has become far too narrow to allow PP to actually sell those kits in any respectable quantity. I would not be at all surprised to see this become the rule rather than the exception.
In Cygnar I wouldn't be surprised to see the following:
Heavy Metal - T-head - Rowdy - Brickhouse
Grave diggers - Triumph - Thorn
Storm Division - T-head - Dynamo
Sons of the Tempest - Ace (although who cares here he's only ever good with Caine anyway) - maybe Triumph
As for trolls we're already seeing the progression but wouldn't be at all surprised if: PoD - Mulg (confirmed)
Band of Heroes - new character for Madrak eventually
Kriel Company - Dozer
Northkin - Rok (confirmed)
Man typing that out just made me remember how far behind on character beast options hordes is.

I agree that he'd be awesome with and make sense to be dariuses jack. I don't think it makes sense that he'd be krayes personal jack though. Kraye feels mote like hed have a light jack stomping around with him. That being said, Brickhouse should be an absolute monster with Kraye when the update comes out. The amount of jank between those 2 models is almost staggering.

Rowdy definitely needs to be in some theme. Heavy Metal makes sense, but styker's a storm dude too...
Also what's our next theme force? PP may hold some characters back in anticipation of that. Possible candidates?
1) Science guys (weathermen) 2) Morrowan/old skool 3) Ranger/recon 4) Merc crossover
None of our current characters would seem to fit into any of the above except that weathermen doubles with storm.
