Screenshot from the BoW vid linked above: The dreadrot on the right seems to have a mold line right up his face ...

figuurit.blogspot.fi/2017/07/grymkin-wicked-harvest-unboxing.htmlI took some unboxing photos. Ask if you want a photo of some certain model in the box and I try to help if I don't feel too lazy Mind that some of them are already assembled and mold lines cleaned by now.. not in the photos I put up though. The photos are small becuse I don't want to clunk my blog with raw photos. I hope you guys can at least get a glimpse of the models from these.

Picked mine up yesterday. Moving in less than a week, so no time to put them together right now. Loving that they are hard plastic, though. If I like this army as much as I think I will, then will probably sell off my Trolls to fund them.

In one of my army boxes the Dread Rots had really terrible moldlines, the Dread Rots from my second box had absolutely none. Funny.
Rest was good though.

The box feels rather light. When opened (mmm, new games smell), you realise that it's because everything is hard plastic. The models are packed in little bags, each unit to a bag, Heretic seperate, solos seperate. Except Longfellow, who's sharing a bag with the Gorehound for some reason. Condition is good. So far I've assembled Skin&Moans and the (nasty tree solo) out of the box, having concentrated on my blisters (The Crabbits look like angry skinned dire bunnies). Pieces are all present, no mould lines in evidence, a few cases (1 in 8?) of slight flash around major joins: 30 secs work with clippers and file. The models slot together well, with locked poses as seen in several recent models, effected by assymetric slot joins. This also means that several of them could almost push together without glue. All models look pretty good, I'll give a full report if I get the rest opened and assembled any time soon. Sorry, insufficient tech skills for an unboxing video. I'd agree with everything but the mold lines part.. which are rather excessive, particularly on the cage rager. Not that its not fixable or w/e but they do have a lot of detail which is easily marred by lines. While I'm being a hobby negative nelly I'd also mention that the skin and moans are really not poseable in any other way without serious breaking/rejointing. they connect with a 2 inch long oval which starts at about shoulder level and goes down to about hip level. there are 5 plastic parts total in the kit, one being the head. Those little things aside however, its sweet box, full of lots of goodies. with the additional purchase of a battle engine you'd have a playable army. I guess you could even play without one but I don't know how good it would be. Longfellow is sweet btw... the guy is so totally not a spider. Human as they come.

My wife just started hordes and Grymkin was the only faction she was interested in. We picked her up the box yesterday, and although the models were pretty awesome, I was troubled by one thing... For an all in one army box, ours didn't come with dice, tokens, ruler, rulebook, etc. I did notice it has a link to the website on the box (kinda out of the way on the back in the corner) for the rules which I guess is alright for rules and cards... but what about the other beginner stuff?

Its been clearly stated on more than one occasion that Grymkin are NOT a starter faction, nor was the All-in-One a Starter Box. You only are supplied with the items you are concerned about not receiving in Battle boxes. Additionally, it was widely made known that Grymkin would not be receiving cards as part of their way of kicking off WarRoom2 App to a more mainstream usage and their Card Database where you can visit/print what you need. This allows PP to quickly make changes to cards/rules without any worry about the Card Decks they were producing (which are no longer in production.) Simply put you didnt buy a starter faction (per say,) nor did you invest in any type of beginners kit. The All-in-One was created for people who already play the game to quickly jump into this new faction, hence why so many of us bought two All-in-Ones. Additionally it is a good way for someone new to enter, but with the guidance of someone who is already playing at it is not 100% Newbie friendly.

Well I totally understand the no cards thing, and they also have the rules online, which I did mention at the end of my last post. But when the box also states "Whether you're a NEW PLAYER or a seasoned veteran taking up a new Faction, this box contains EVERYTHING YOU NEED to quickly field a complete & competitive army"(emphasis added) I just noticed that in order to field an army you need rules, dice, tokens, etc. I mean if I was a new person and saw the game, got curious and decided to buy models, I'd be a little bit miffed that it didn't mention at least somewhere that maybe additional tools were needed (also with a name like "Core Army Box" it sounds like what one would pick up to start). As is we do happen to have extras of everything and so it's no real biggy, but was just curious . And as a past employee for that "other game" I know things in a game store can get busy and sometimes people buy stuff before they really know what they're getting ya know? Also looking at the updated journeyman... how are people playing the battle box Grymkin when the frightmare isn't even a model yet? Or is it just proxy so far?

What actually comes in the army box? The Heretic Cage Rager Skin & Moans Gorehound Dread Rots unit of 10 Hollowmen unit of 10 -Lantern Man attachment Piggybacks unit of 5 Lord Longfellow Witchwood Most of the box comes in good quality hard plastic and, as others mentioned, have pretty minor small mold lines. I do have a couple of minor gripes regarding the models though. First, one of the pieces of the Witchwood didn't fit snugly into the other piece, leaving a significant gap - someone moderately skilled in putty use can cover that up fairly easily though. Second, the Dread Rots are a softer plastic than the rest of the units making filing off the mold lines slightly more difficult, a hobby knife does the trick fine though. I use a gesso primer and after priming the Dread Rots they seem to have stiffened up a bit, though some parts of them are still a bit flimsy.
