Deliverers may make a comeback, so paladins work best against other faithful masses lists lol

the irony... but you'll be seeing things like Incinderariis in new Skorne lists, which are 3 r 4 inch fire AoEs with a half decent rat to go along with it.

I spent a good chunk of WMW working on a double Champ list with Thyra and all the other Paladins. I watched Chandler play six games with it and I played a game with it against Chandler.
List is incredible, Champions are amazing - put them on the table before you start talking negatively about them. Their impact on the table is impossible to quantify.
Examples:
Saw Champions facetank:
Wrastler Gladiator Enraged Cage Rager
Saw Champions and Paladins kill in maintenance phase:
Zuriel Tons of random dudes Most of a Cage Rager
I'm super stoked, and almost guaranteed to be moving to Menoth after Grymkin at the ATC.

It might also inspire me to paint my vilmon (I seem reluctant to paint characters) and get a second Paladin. I've heard someone else say that Champions give Faithful Masses armour cracking, which is what it really needs. The girded is pretty much the only thing that I question. At this point I see it as a bonus ability that might actually pay off if you get your Paladins to babysit key models. Now we just need some way to speed Paladins up and I'll be happier.

And somme battle reports, please ? No doubts the Champion is a Nuke in our arsenal. But I'm still confused about Girded....

List is something like Thyra, blood, sanctifier, double idrians, three paladins, vilmon, double champs, min choir, some wracks, a mechanik and a heirophant. I've got at least one battle report coming sometime later this week. I have about 12 from WMW to get posted so it will take a while.

Durst has been my flavor, but yes. I dearly miss handing out Retalitory Strike, though. Not only is Girded mostly worthless, but 1" RS is alot better than the Armchair Chorus would lead you to believe.

No ret strike as leadership is a shame, but I'm happy to see him having it though.

I was super excited about retalitory The champ still has retaliatory, and I don't think the 1" is the issue for the other pallies -- unlike the champ none of them are likely to survive something worth retaliating against. Hence it became a 'Harbie exclusive' ability. Sure a front line of retaliating pallies in a harbie army is friggin cool, but who knows, they might make a pallie unit with retaliatory in the future.

My Durst paladinspam says otherwise over several games now.

Actually I'd have preferred almost anything over Girded. I still think Shield Guard should have been the leadership

Actually I'd have preferred almost anything over Girded. I still think Shield Guard should have been the leadership people were really just asking for reliability, something that didn't get casually negated by the already high value 2" melee, at the same time we were looking at no shield, instead it was unyielding....and not the version in cid now. in short, if you had a spear, I lost everything I bought the champ for. THAT was the argument. The girded change was unexpected, counter to a LOT of good suggestions, and I personally think it was Mr. Soles get snitty on us dissing his first shot.

They could have at least made girded elite cadre rather than friggin leadership.
