I would like to see a 3 redeemers punch a heavy into next week. Have you tried them under Tristan1 with pSevvy yet? It's not quite a classic gunline, but it is glorious. Yup, that's how it works, Redeemers are great heavy killers and I always fire them expecting direct hits. I own just one but it's a very important element of my Sevvy1 heavy-killing gunline. As for the Revelator, I played a few games with it in said Sevvy1 Creator's Might gunline, including a local league, and didn't lose once. The firepower and melee ability once the enemy closes is obscene. It was a very slow list, though and playing it in SR2016 caused problems. I think it will be even more problematic in SR2017. 2 Revelators may be a way to go, as you can protect both with defensive spells if you think you can keep Sevvy safe behind terrain and push the Colossals more bravely into the zones. |

(Feora 2) Feora, Protector of the Flame [+28] - Hand of Judgment [18] - Reckoner [16] - Reckoner [16] - Revelator [37] Vassal Mechanik [1] Vassal Mechanik [1] Vassal of Menoth [3] Vassal of Menoth [3] Wrack [1] Wrack [1] Choir of Menoth (max) [6] With the 2" more deployment and Escort you can work around the gunline problems (the fast SR17 Szenarios). Since all weapons from the Revelator and the Reckoners are Dmg type fire the HoJ gets a really good value out of Fuel for the Flames. In addition the blessed part from the theme let you kill a colossal in one round only with shooting. Firestarter helps with the AOE´s to set targets like makedas cats on fire. And the magical weapons from the Revelator can help you with stuff like the Cryx Battle Engine. I think the list will be difficult to play because of the few key pieces but with a bit of training this could be devastiting for my enemies. |

I believe they cracked down on taking only jacks in a theme designed around infantry. Wasn't there a Khador theme that used to be abused that way and it was changed so that you had to bring actual winterguard models to get the benefits for the jacks?
Edit:
the Winterguard theme was changed from warjacks gain advance move to one warjack per winterguard unit gains advance move.
I expect the Exemplar theme to change to something like for each exemplar unit, one warjack gets blessed weapons

Maybe. Maybe not. Its not like Blessed is a hugely broken ability to hand out for free, unlike Advance Move was.
But if the Exemplar theme is redesigned, I would hope that it got changed to be more infantry centric.
Like,
For every 15 points of Exemplar model/units in the army, you may include 1 free solo or unit attachment free of charge.
Your deployment zone is extended 2" forward.
For the warjack benefit, we have a few potential options.
Friendly Faction Heavy Warjacks gain Accumulator[Exemplar]: When this model activates within 6" of a friendly Exemplar model, this model immediately gains a focus point.
Friendly Faction warjacks gain Righteous Vengeance.
Friendly Faction warjacks gain Flank[Exemplar].
These benefits would be given automatically, but they would also encourage you to bring actual infantry and run a combined arms list instead of just spamming jacks, since the abilities wouldn't work without Exemplar in the list.

I second the boo to changing exemplar theme without somehow improving the benefit of taking actual exemplar models. The winter guard example doesn't exactly apply here that theme has an additional benefit to taking actual winter guard models(sac pawn). So if you want to only give me blessed weapons if I take exemplars convince me why I should. Furthermore PP has plenty of avenues to travel all exemplar models get sanguine bond, self sac, battle driven, righteous vengeance any would be fun. Back on topic high reclaimer is my pick for best use of revelator hand of fate is so good it almost(almost) makes up for the delay because if it was out when he was the mk3 boogeyman it might already be nerfed.

Im totally with you guys. I would definitely trade the blessed for advanced move for the KE. But as long as the theme stands this way, its the best theme for jackcasters that want to play gunline without upkeep removal. Maybe Eilish (dont know if he´s written like that) can change this when mercs are allowed in theme. BTT: Yesterday I put my list to the test. I think on a slower szenario you can outshoot the Haley. But in my oppinion your best chance is to try to reduce casulties and go for the assasination after her featturn. Overall I really like the Revelator so far. He has a pretty nice toolkit. And last but not least I really liked playing Feora 2 again! I think she could be in my tournament pairing again when the Revelator is released. |

To be fair zanragul playing a new list against haley 2 (even if its a list teched to fight her) will normally end in losses. She is just that darn powerful. My Reznick 1 list That I am pretty successful into haley 2 with took a while for me to get all my tactics right. As far as buffing the exemplar theme, I think giving army wide infantry buffs like army wide battle driven and give models with battle driven vengeance. That would be an awesome replacement over blessed on jacks. |

Exemplar units gain Vengeance, and Exemplar solos gain Righteous Vengeance would be very very sweet. Army wide battledriven would be pretty bad though, since our 2 best units already have it and it wouldn't be enough to bring Errants and Bastions out of hiding. Could be hilarious on Cinerators though.

Oh derp, I forgot to write small or medium base. And it's only if you spend exactly 75 points on Exemplar models. Which would only be possible if you took,
4 units of KE
max Vengers(or Cinerators and a Errant Seneschal)
Gravus
2 KE Seneschals
In which case, your best choice for free stuff would be 4 UAs and a Bastion Seneschal. So 26 points maximum. 27 if you took a 2nd Bastion Seneschal instead of a 4th UA, but that's dubious.
