Sadly they were probably leery of handing Calaban the ability to pay 2 Fury, kill 2 models, get 2 Fury back, repeat And yet it seems so reasonable to me. Oh, Makeda2 (or 1) kittens. That was the other reason I wanted Bone Grinders (still Hordes, I know).

I have played a this list a lot: Rask Wrastler Wrastler Bull Snapper Mist Speaker Viktor Pendrake 7x min. Posse I played it into the Skorne Funline with Rasheth, into Makeda2 with Kittens, Baldur2 with Wrath, Megalith and 3 Wyrds, Anson Durst with a Jackspam, Fyanna2 in Oracles and so far I only lost to Baldur2 because I made a stupid mistake that cost me a Wrastler. I was ahead on CP 4:1 and would have easily won on scenario without the mistake. So I am really happy with that list as my all comers and I am now working on my Ghostfleet drop with Calaban. I tried this one: Calaban Targ Wrastler Blindwalker Ironback Spitter max. Brigands with UA max Croaks Sacral Vault It actually worked quite well into the coven list (which is feel is the stronger caster for the GF), but my positioning was not good enough yet, which prevented me from killing his jack, that threated the Vault and thus my ability to push forward. In the end I rolled poorly with the croaks trying to set the jack on fire (first 6 missed the 7+), thus I only had two remaining to actually damage him with one of them ending up missing as well. However, it was poor decision making anyway as I had not noticed early enough how important this jack actually is (the only thing that can really threaten the Vault, so I earned that loss. Nonetheless, I think the above list is decent into Ghostfleet and I feel the Ironback Spitter is crucial in the match to really damage the Cryx heavy that can threaten the vault.

Yesterday I played Blindwater Theme the first time, using less Posse but a min unit of Ambushers and some solos. Won against Morvhanna1 dude spam with ease and against Butcher1 jack heavy (6 jacks) due to my opponent didn´t want to commit any of his jacks. Game against Ossrum with 4 Drillers, Idrians and Bunnies didn´t go that well. Things I noticed: - Against mass ARM the Posse spam seems to suffer. There isn´t enough ARM cracking in that list. - MAT 6 isn´t that great. Right now (with a certain lack of experience) I can´t see that being as well an all comers list as Carver Warbeast Spam similar to Azahuls Carver list.

Yes, mass high ARM is definitely not that easy to handle! However, 3 GPM with Fury do some decent damage on a Khador heavy. 28 Boxes if they hit all their attacks has most likely wrecked the heavy, if you spike moderately you might even kill him. The game you have to play here is can I kill heavies fast enough so you cannot kill enough GPM in time to win the attrition war? So far that worked well for me... It is not an easy win for sure though. MAT 6 is not great but I feel it is enough especially with the potential reroll you should be fine. Against Fyanna2 it is nasty, but as I said, you can win that on attrition, especially as her heavies do not easily kill of a GMP with one hit.

Played a small little tournament in my garden to celebrate my birthday and can only say, there is nothing better, than playing Warmachine with friends in a sunny garden! My list: Rask 2x Wrastler 1x Bull Snapper 7x min. Posse Bog Trog Mistspeaker Viktor Pendrake My second list was Calaban, but I did not run into Cryx so I followed my school of thought and played Rask the whole way. 1. Game into a Skorne Gunline Rasheth 2 Archidons 1 Sentry 1 Gladiator 2x max Reiver with UA 1x min Slingers 1x max Pain Giver Beasthandler 1x Flayer Cannon Crew 1x Venator Dakar I went first and ran towards him. Well minding his threat ranges only putting a couple of Posse into range, when the were elevated or behind LOS blocking terrain and Veil of Mist. He minifeated with both units and was able to kill 3 Posse, but did not put anything in scenario yet. My second turn saw me feat and position my Posse at the edge of his side of the zones. In his turn, he killed a couple more Posse and prevented me from scoring, however, he hardly had any models in the zones. Turn 3 it was finally my turn to kill stuff. I cleared all zones and put my Wrastlers behind an impassable terrain in the center, so he was not able to put his heavies in a zone, because I could walk there (with VoM) and kill them easily. I managed to kill both Archidons, which tried to contest. One with furied Posse and Viktor Pendrake, the other with a Wrastler and Rage. His turn 3 was way less damaging, than he hoped. He had to run models to contest, because I killed everything that was in walking distance and he killed a couple more Posse, but nowhere near enough to prevent me from scoring the remaining two next round. 5:0 My second game was against the Skorne Kittens Makeda2 Despoiler Krea 2x Ferox Rhadeim min. Beasthandler Legends of Halak Orin Midwinter Unfortunately, we had a mistake in the game, that was quite effectful and on a more important tournament, where I would have wanted to perform would have probably granted me the victory for the game. The kittens played the first 3,5 rounds with DEF 14, which made me miss a lot more attacks, than I should have obviously. However, all that did not matter, as he toughed 12 out of 14 in our first encounter in the middle and in return managed to kill all Posse on the left side, with the Legends and 1 unit of Ferox. We still played on, as he was really far down his clock, but he had won the attrition clearly and was able to assassinate me with 11 seconds on the clock. A very unfortunate loss, that I was heavily influenced by the mistake and the tough rolls. I am still convinced, that I have a pretty good game into one of the strongest lists out there at the moment. So, it was a moral victory for me as I made a couple of mistakes, but did not lose because of bad play. Next time, I will spread out more, to make it difficult for Makeda to have everyone within 10" of her bubble... Third game was into a beginner, that played Haley2 in HM. I ran forward and waited to endure the feat. I had spread out a lot, so it was impossible to have everything in her 18" control area. I would definitely be able to contest. However, he did not feat, as I thought, it might be too early. This cost him the game, as a wrastler was within charge range of the Wall. I flooded his part of the board, the wrastler one rounded the wall (otherwise the second would have charged in) with Fury, Rage and Boundless Charge. I feated and scored 4 (2 flags, 2 zones, the last one was contested). He tried to kill as much as possible, but he had no shooting left, to kill both solos at the flags and in the end did not even manage a single zone due to some poor dice and decisions. 8:1 I really like the list a lot due to its mass it has a decent game into Haley2 as well. Of course, a more experienced player can do a lot more damage, but I tried to play around that and not give any openings. 3 incredibly fun games and I am looking forward to play this list a ton more!

Changed my list a bit: Rask 2x Wrastlers 2x max Posse 2x min Posse min Ambushers Pendrake Mist Speaker Bellows Crew Totem Hunter 2 Feral Gheists and played against a beginner with Doomy2 (no Röl, no Mulg). He basically didn't have a chance. Won on scenario in SR 2017 (last CID iteration). I'm starting to love Rask Posse Spam.

That list looks damn solid as well, but I would recommend a Bull Snapper instead of the Totem Hunter or the Mist Speaker. Having a Beast, with the only purpose to control a zone is pure freedom. This enables you to setup your army the way you really want and you do not have to keep a wrastler in a zone, where you might not want him. In my experience, they actually like to stick together. I am really considering dropping the Mist Speaker. In all my games, all he did in all my games was give Rask +1 to attack rolls, something that is barely needed as I will boost important shots anyway and 7+3d6 hits most stuff fairly regularly. This could be the Totem Hunter or another Bull Snapper!

This could be the Totem Hunter or another Bull Snapper! I semi-disagree with you on the Speaker. In addition to the +1, he is also a solo who can go grab a flag and stealth himself, serve as a second chance life for Rask with Call to Sacrifice, and hand out magical weapons on the off chance you have to deal with an incorporeal pest.

Hey Gaston, all those reasons you counted are the reason he is actually in the list in the first place, I never thought of not using him at first, however, I have now played around 15 games with the list and so far none of the above came up except the +1 to shooting something. The Totem Hunter which I would probably use instead would be the far superior solo to control a flag though. I would be loosing out on Call to Sacrifice and Magic Weapons. Magic Weapons are only used in matchups against Cryx (which is definitely Calabans expertise and I do not see Rask playing into Cryx ever period) and Menoth which is a match that will go to Rask, however, Rask already has magic shooting and the rest is simply not shooting, so I do not think that the magic attacks are actually a valid point... I love the safety net that Call to Sacrifice offers, but I have not yet used it nor have I been close to using it. So all in all, maybe the Totem Hunter instead of the Mist Speaker could be a thing? What is your list pairing at the moment Gaston? It has been a while since there was a Matter of Pact!

Cast scheduling/content hasn't been easy. Stupid adulting. Don't grow up, it sucks.
I actually got sidelined into Haley3 with my Rask list once, and the magical weapons became crucial, FWIW.
Currently I am running Ark/Calaban; neither in theme, although I am looking to possibly move closer to an Azahul Arkadius list rather than my current. Some of it is in flux because of having no idea if/when these new rumored themes will show up, which is annoying.

Yeah, count me in on this adulting thing... It's like one of those newsletters you receive, but never subcribed to! You just looked at it once and BAMM you are in for wife, kid, house, car and of course a cat... As I really love the Doc, I will probably dive into him after the big team tournament coming up in August. I am really looking forward to playing there and my friends already let me play Winions, so I figure I owe them as much as playing Rask, as I did not last time.

I traditionally stink in Team Tournaments, I have no idea why and feel horrible about it every time. My last one I ran Ark/Rask theme FWIW.

I thik Ark/Rask is not that good of a pair because the pretty much excel at the same things, which is killing one thing really dead! During my Warhammer Fantasy time I have been very successful in team tournaments and with Warmachine I only had one so far, which was ok, as we went 3:3 but we had little to no experience and faced two WTC teams. This time, we definetely plan to do better! And if possible I will try and do some reports on that, too.
