Another big project finished! I am not a fan of the original Vessel of Judgement model and especially I am not a fan of this model's price... In addition I prefer spending time on personalizing a unique model instead of on tedious sawing, filing and green stuffing to just have parts fit together. This alternate model cost considerably less than half price of its PP counterpart, although I had to add a small amount of money for the 120mm base. I couldn't help it again, I had to Menothize this alternate model, even though it would work pretty well on its own in a Protectorate army IMO, without any conversion job at all. I replaced horses with the Harbinger's chain monks (WYSIWYG - its only 4" SPD after all), the sigmarite priest with the Choir of Menoth leader and added a huge marble menofix made of Fimo.

Although i disagree about your opinion of the look of the PP vessel i must admit that is a cool looking model. Good job.
On the nit pick side. Who's sigmar and why is his name on your Vessel? Is this herecy? *grabs wracks*

Sigmar? He's one of the ancient Scrutators whose relics are kept inside this mobile shrine

That quite cool! It looks like it was originally designed that way. Best compliment I can give a converter. 😜

Funny how these things swing around depending on what country you're in. The best price I can find here for a war altar is only about $10 less than an actual Vessel. (Maybe they can be found on sale, not sure if the Altar got whacked with the AoS-hammer.)
Beautiful conversion. I particularly like the giant menofix and I'm going to remember the idea of making one from fimo for future conversions of my own.
Great stuff!

I remember GW hating Australia for years for some reason, with really outrageous prices. In my Polish online store, the PP Vessel is currently 278,50 PLN (Polish currency) while the Altar costs 127 PLN ! So even after adding 2x12 PLN for 2 120mm bases you can have two such models for one original oO I wonder how and why, considering the quality difference (the Altar almost assembled itself with seamless joins etc)

Canada. Looking at my favourite online store, I can get one for about $55 Canuckistani pesos vs $67 for a Vessel. We seem to pay a much bigger premium for GW stuff than for PP around here.
The GW kits are really nice, but I gave up on the game systems and they're too pricey to pick up just to play around with. I am currently (slowly) working on a Khador War Carriage made from various GW kits and bits, which is reminding me how good their stuff can be to work with.

That angel on the front of your menofix I've seen it on a bunch of your stuff. Where you get it from. I would like a 100 of them

Those are pieces from the Dark Angels Space Marine sprue, there was quite a lot of cool goth stuff on it I'm sure you can get some such angels from bits shops/auctions.

Awwww man. I live in America. Consumerism means leftover bits don't exist here.
