la sigh. again people doubting feora2 Feora2 makes the Judicator a god x.O; With ambushing daughters from Guardians of the Temple, people stay away from the edges of the board, clustering them in the center and giving you the perfect opportunity to rocket shots into them, igniting them all on fire in just a turn or two. My complete list for Feora2 is still being worked on but that's the major element to making her a valid caster. She's the only one with firestarter, which is much more powerful than you'd expect on the judicator.

If you want to discuss her, please make a new thread about it. In here let's keep the focus on Feora1. Ryilan

He/she/it/apache actually already has a topic about this from a while ago... Negative introduction aside, it would be nice to revamp the discussion, maybe change the title to mark it as Feora2? lormahordes.freeforums.net/thread/1100/requesting-list-testerOn topic: Maybe a bit more ranged presence? (Feora 1) Feora, Priestess of the Flame [+31] - Hand of Judgment [18] - Reckoner [16] - Hierophant [3] Avatar of Menoth [20] Allegiant of the Order of the Fist [3] Nicia, Tear of Vengeance [5] Choir of Menoth (min) [4] Daughters of the Flame [10] Deliverer Sunburst Crew [5] Deliverer Sunburst Crew [5] Flame Bringers (max) [17]

I was able to get another game in, this time vs NewShade (Goreshade4). This was again for our league and that's why Targ is on the board. His list Goreshade - Sylys - Hemera - Banshee Ryssovas solo dude Priest of Nyssor Arcanist Arcanist Unit Spears of Scyrah - Eiryss3 Ellowyr Swords full - UA Ryssovas Defenders min He won the roll and decided to go first. His battle group deployed up the center with the Defenders on my left flank and the swordsmen + spears on the right. I counter deploy cleansers against the defenders and set up the flamebringers against the swordsmen. My battle group heads up the center. After two turns of engagement the top of three looks like this: Ambushing daughters cleaned up the swordsmen but holy hell defensive strike coupled with frost field is tough to work around. Had my opponent spaced his guys closer together to get more def strikes the daughters would've been in serious trouble. Flame wall severely hampered the ability of the spears to get in on me forcing them into the center of the board. One the left the cleansers pretty handidly cleaned up the defenders although his def 14 solo held that flank down for the entire game. I cleared most of the spears, except for Eiryss, with my feat and managed to tag 2 defenders and some support. All in all attrition was swinging heavily in my favor. From this point forward it was mainline clean up. The flamebringers took Hemera off the board. Goreshade revived the spears only to have them and Eiryss die to a blazing effigy off of the devout. My opponent was forced to use Goreshade to kill the sanctifier leaving him on 0 camp and in walkiing range of the devout. 4x P+S 17 attacks (battle + ignite) later and it was victory for the Protectorate. Take aways: - Feora is just dominant into any def skew list. The entire game my opponent couldn't bring his infantry forward as aggressively as he would like since they'd be trivially cleared.
- The sanctifier combined with cleansers is baller. That whole flank was able to operate with 0 input from feora and still be very threatening to both infantry and heavies.
- Flame wall controls the tempo of the game to force infantry clumps for the feat
- Ignite allows the flamebringers to threaten heavy targets very well. It only took 2.5 of them on the charge to down Hemera
- Nicia continues to be a boss killing 5 swords men on that flank over 2 turns then sprinting into my opponent's backfield.
This game was kind of a soft ball for Feora as its exactly what she wants to see with a bunch of squishy high def infantry. We'll see if I can get a bad matchup type game next week.

In light of the new CID, I can think of zero reasons not to drop a free solo in any above list for Rorsh and Brine. Free 15pt solo in one free slot? Hells. Yes.
It's in no way thematic, but I cant pass 10 more free points. Sorry, Nicia.
Theme: Guardians of the Temple Feora, Priestess of the Flame - WJ: +31 - Hand of Judgment - PC: 18 - Vigilant - PC: 9 - Devout - PC: 9 - Revelator - PC: 37 (Battlegroup Points Used: 31)
Wrack - PC: 1 Wrack - PC: 1 Rorsh & Brine - PC: 15
Choir of Menoth - Leader & 3 Grunts: 4 Daughters of the Flame - Leader & 5 Grunts: 10 Flame Bringers - Leader & 4 Grunts: 17

Really? So Rorsh and Brine can be free, but Gravus can't in the exemplar theme?

Sorry man. Merc solo's are not free and do not benefit from stuff like repo 3. Would've been complete bull otherwise.

Sorry man. Merc solo's are not free and do not benefit from stuff like repo 3. Would've been complete bull otherwise. Creator's Might says "or one other solo." No faction requirement. Or at least at the time I posted it, thats how it worked. The dev talk did change that.

Yup, the change was a few hours in at the time of my post. But this was to be expected of course.

Yup, the change was a few hours in at the time of my post. But this was to be expected of course. An expected dev talk fixing an obviously broken loophole in the worst possible fix to themes ever? Nah. Just sounds like sloppy work to me. See also the sad state of the rules at MKIII release.

Not at all. The present dev team has repeatedly shown over the last year that it's happy to go off half-cocked, and even if it has good ideas, it's poor or lazy at executing the fine points to make sure it works right.

considering that they suck at math, it's understandable that they would be inept at other things too, like whoever is in charge of Skorne really needs to get a foot up their back side. Brandon from the tampa league is still trying to fight for their tournament viability yet can't make a competitive list, even when he has all their models and a straight win streak with both merc and cryx
