Whelp, after today I can officially confirm that the Avatar is still decent with Sevvy1. Nobody ever said he wasn't decent. He's just sub-optimal. The interesting things he brings just aren't in line with his price tag.

indeed, it's the other things you can bring in for the same price tag that makes everyone hesitate. Unlike some factions whose heavies are all 13-18 pts or have ridiculous prices tags on their infantry + UA *cough*skorne*cough*, Menoth has plenty of great choices at the cost of 20 pts, including things that wouldn't take focus.

I actually enjoy Avatar and I play him a bit with the focus starved none battlegroup casters.
I agree that he does need an update though. With MK3 he kinda took a nerf. Power-up has completely changed that game, focus starved casters aren't really as starved anymore 1 focus can go along way, except for Thyra of course she needs to sling them spells, with that Avatars d3+1 is just not as good anymore. That alone IMO should be point cost reduction.
He does need disruption immunity and immunity to control abilities. Thats just thematic with him, hes not a model that is commanded/powered by a caster so just makes sense. I mean come on supposed to be the will of menoth.... who the f$@* can control menoth.....
I know that everyone wants him to be included in the warjack points but the whole point of those points, see what i did there lol, is that they for a battlegroup that the caster controls. Putting him in the battlegroup and using those points is completely against the very core of how/why he was created.
MK3 update: either reduce cost to make him viable again or make the above changes and add directly towards.... Tired of geometry class whenever I use him. Gets a bit excessive.
He truly was not updated with MK3 in mind, he took an unintentional nerf for sure.
