Can we please return talking about Trencher CID and not about speculations on possible Marauder changes? It is an interesting topic, but probably should be done in his proper faction sub-forum. Oh, uh, Commander Aegis. *salutes* I was just speaking to one of our new recruits, Cadet Blue Guy. He has some intel on the reds that might prove valuable in coming days. It's about the Khadoran Marauder model Warjack. Previously we believed that it was just a danger to our new Trencher blockhouse. But it would seem this jack has powerful slamming capabilities as well. Oh. Move the discussion to the Khador forum? Righto, sir. We'll need a top notch team to infiltrate their ranks... Perhaps we should send this new Cadet. He seems to know the Reds pretty well. We'll hop to it, sir.

And how could one connect to another. Is there a "Joint" Trench?

Posted this in the merc forums (because kingmaker *drool*), but seems worth mentioning: A single unit of trencher longgunners making 2 full unit CRA's (rerolling <6) averages 18.4 dmg vs arm20, which lets them pick out the cortex and arm of a khador heavy on average damage. On average, they're only 1-3 pts shy of being able to shoot an arm off a battened galleon or arcshielded stormwall (left arms have 2 extra hp). Unfortunately I don't think there's a way to get more marksman shots in gravediggers; y'all just have to be jealous of our free Kell Bailoch. 22 points that can scalpel two cortexes per turn at 14" without help.

Trencher UA is a trencher sniper. Also, we can take the blockhouse, but I guess it sucks we don't have Kell.

Trencher UA has the sniper rule, but not the marksman rule. Autoinflicting 1pt is solid, but being able to pick the column is what's relevant to the longgunner synergy.
I definitely am jealous of the blockhouse! Even moreso the dodgy dog; surefooted dodging trenchos would get stupid quick.

More and more I feel like PP's intention is for Trenchers to play like it's WWI. Hang back in trenches,creat a no man's land where they shoot anything trying to take a zone off the board, and force the enemy to either try and get into melee or run out of models.

I need a place to vent out my anger and frustration for the express team. Somewhere that isn't nazimoderated like CID. I tried to open up a post about them, stating that currently they don't have any kind of good targets, got swarmed by the amount of "it's only 5 points what do you expect?". I expect it to actually do something, that's it.
Now, we are a faction with access to charger and what not. What should we do with a single POW 14, that can't shoot at stealth and deals nothing to heavies. "Oh but you can plink them for 2 damage!" Oh boy yeah, that's what I wanted from a single shot model, plinking an arm 19 heavy for 2 damage. Jeez I'm as salty as sea water right now.
I really wish the CID feedback makes PP reconsider about the unit, and give it some AP or brutal or something. Or at least bring cost down to 4, i'd take that just to fill the grenadier in that case.
The trencher cannon is also in a bad spot. If nobody is taking it now, aybe it needs to be a bit better, I really don't get how they are not understanding it. Same thing with the chaingun.
Another maximum salty level comes from the mechkies. Jeez, did we really need a trencher mechies unit with no flavor? Just make us use normal mechies.

I hope the opposite, as Gravediggers cannot take GMCAs to remove stealth, you are relying on casters and battle groups. Having a 2 point solo that can remove stealth from 20" away without rolling dice seems invaluable for Trencher Infantry and Trencher Long-gunners

Honestly you sound pretty entitled. Your weapon crews are solid if not a bit better then comparable ones. You dont get to keep demanding that because you have s tier options, even your b listers must all be a's
