So I like the look of the paladin, and I was wondering what to do with him. Massive ARM and box brick, right? Or....maybe exploit Bulwark a bit. I was thinking DEF 15 Dervishes & Devouts, that are also ARM 18/20 against shooting, and have the usual feat turn bonus. Reckoner-chassis jacks move up to "boost in case" DEF levels against most ranged, or living. Throw in a Vigilant or two to add cover to that, to get a bit silly. So if there's some fatal flaw with that which I haven't noticed, how do people run Durst in Mk3?

So if there's some fatal flaw with that which I haven't noticed, how do people run Durst in Mk3? One theory folks have is running him with jackspam in the Exemplar Interdiction theme. Basically, skip the exemplars and take Blessed and +2" deploy. Id consider a load of dervishes with some crusaders. Anson Durst, Rock of the Faith - WJ: +28 - Vigilant - PC: 9 (Battlegroup Points Used: 9) - Devout - PC: 9 (Battlegroup Points Used: 9) - Dervish - PC: 7 (Battlegroup Points Used: 7) - Dervish - PC: 7 (Battlegroup Points Used: 3) - Dervish - PC: 7 - Crusader - PC: 10 - Reckoner - PC: 16 - Reckoner - PC: 16 Vassal of Menoth - PC: 3 Vassal of Menoth - PC: 3 Wrack - PC: 1 Wrack - PC: 1 Vassal Mechanik - PC: 1 Vassal Mechanik - PC: 1 Choir of Menoth - Leader & 5 Grunts: 6 Choir of Menoth - Leader & 5 Grunts: 6 Or you can do Creator's Might for free solos and Upkeeps and reposition on support. I've been messing around with a Reckoner and Castigator double-team. It's convinced my friends that Castigators are good.
I like DEF 14 ARM 21 with passage Vs shooting and I can't wait to try it with the Vessel.

it's a super tight formation, but a triangle of 2 B2B heavies and a frontal vigilant makes things DEF 14/16. The ashen veil jacks also easily hit 14 without such nonsense.
Your problem is usually board coverage here, not impregnability. SR2017 will probably be a really bad time for durst brick lists what with all the b2b required to get anything out of him.

From my experience, SR17 is going to be the grind edition. Dropping behind early is okay if you assassinate, or outgrind the enemy and scoop up points once there's nothing left to stop you.
