So I'm a former troll player and I just picked up kromac2 on a whim and WOW from what I'm looking at he plays a lot like Madrak Ironhide the influence of Rathrok must be strong!
Anyways I've got an idea of how I want to run him, screening with a lot of bloodstream Kershaw and blood weavers, but I wanted to hear some of y'alls ideas about how to run him.

Generally Kromac 2 loves to run a lot of heavy beasts. If you want to annoy your rival meanwhile you position your heavy stuff and Kromac maybe some Sentry Stones and even trackers can do that job pretty well. Blood weavers were ok in MKII but now I only field them with Wurmwood because they are cheap souls. Wish an attachment brings back their extra dice vs living enemy models.

I am intrigued by Kro2 but I find it difficult playing him as he has little to no aid against ranged. I have thought about using a Druid smoke screen in front of the battlegroup but as yet have not tried it. Has anyone else found game with Kro2?

Kromac2 its a great caster to run with beasts (heavys and light) Ghetorix, Feral, Loki, Pure, Gorax, Argus... with some units support (Sentry Stone & Mannikins, Shifting stones, Bloodtrackers...)
Madrak2 its a great caster to run with units, my favourites with eMaddy are Fennblades and Warders

I was inspired by CharlesCarmichael's blog, Druid's Dice. He had a series of battle reports back in January running Kromac2 with the Stormraptor. The reports for Kromac2 start with this one, I think. Not sure if it's anything like what you're looking for, but I enjoyed his reports and tried it out myself for a few games. It was fun! A very different Kromac2 experience for me. It's been the most fun I've had running the Stormraptor too. Edited to fix link.

I haven't tried it myself but I seem to recall some people saying he wasn't horrible with the stonemonkey either.

Kromac2 is an amazing warlock, with a bad of tricks. Not full on shenanigans like some Orboros warlocks, but nonetheless more tricks than you realise at first glance.
He struggles with gunlines a bit, but you can use scenery to some extent, and also 2 units of Sentry stones can make a nice lump of LOS blocking.
I played this list fairly extensively until recently (I've been playing Kaya3 instead just to see if she what she does);
(Kromac 2) Kromac, Champion of the Wurm [+28] - Ghetorix [21] - Warpwolf Stalker [19] - Rip Horn Satyr [14] - Feral Warpwolf [18] Wrong Eye [17] - Snapjaw [0] Sentry Stone & Mannikins [5] Sentry Stone & Mannikins [5] Lanyssa Ryssyl, Nyss Sorceress [4]
Fury management is tough, but the toolset is amazing with all the animi working brilliantly with Kromac himself. WE&SJ are just crazy with his feat up, as people miss or bounce damage.
One of my favourite things about Kromac2 is his ability to get involved. I've had him kill 2 Skorne light beasts and 3 infantry in one turn, for the total cost of 3 fury, and then 1 fury to lightning strike away.

greyknightv6 : my Kromac2 list is very similar, but instead of Ghetorix and Riphorn, I'm playing Loki and Shadowhorn. In both changes I lose in sheer power, but I gain in movement trick and non-linear threats. And with the 4 point I can fit both a unit of sentry stones and a gobber chef, that work miracle for fury management. Also, with def14 and starcrossed, Dodge is a good animus even on Kromac himself. All considered, he is a solid caster against other melee lists, just do not put him against too much firepower.
