While I agree that the skin could be seen as a bit "boring" the rhinodon is a 12 point heavy and I was only willing to put so much time into it. After all my favorite painting technique is finished. But I originally tried to do more of an orange and tan highlight on the shell attempting to mimic the box art. However I didn't like the way it looked and so I simply painted over it.

I didn't mean that it was boring, only that it looks smooth in a way that doesn't quite match the "craggy weathered dino/rhino skin" look that I at least would expect from that model. Anyway, it does look good overall.

I honestly hope at some point the rhinodon gets a re-sculpt as the current model is lack luster at best. Lack of detail on large potions of the model and its boxing glove hands really detract from it. But I did what I could with what I had, I have a few Castors on the docket next in my queue so should be able to post some higher quality work soon.
