No need to expand your thoughts. I forgot to come back and follow up, so it didn’t matter much, heh. Besides, I’m pretty sure you’re tired of hearing my thoughts on this.

I made a box that holds enough dice for 1 player in Monpoc and doubles as a building:

If you haven’t done so yet, I encourage you to join the new Community site. The place is already 8,000% more active than this board has been in the past year, and 19,000% less whiny and more usable than Facebook has ever been.

I joined, waited a day to be approved, logged in, and didn't like the interface. At all. When I think of checking out my socials, trying to use the PP hub feels like a chore. I posted a message, then got an email when someone replied. When I tried to disable emails for replies, the only option I had was something like "stop receiving emails from PP".
I dunno, I'll try to spend more time on it later, but I don't feel like I actually want to. Terrible interface.

My only real complaint is that the categories shift around based on which has the most recent post. Email replies can be disabled either at the thread level or globally. I think I’ve seen a setting that changes the default notification behavior.

Cool. My friend has suddenly decided he wants to show me how to play Adeptus Titanicus. He claims the rules are a lot like Warmachine. By which I assume he means that attacks are resolved individually rather than in groups, facing matters (Mk3 obviously), and the titans have damage grids and systems. Or something like that.
I told him I'd give it a try, but I'm not buying any models. I am already invested in more gaming systems than I have time to support, nevermind the models I want to make for fun rather than for a game. But I'll probably be participating in a demo game in the coming weeks. It seems some models share base sizes with some of my Warmachine/Warcaster stuff, so there is some scope for proxying.

Do we need a Creepy Card Player 3 thread on the new PP hub? What category would it go under; community? Who wants to start it?

Do we need a Creepy Card Player 3 thread on the new PP hub? What category would it go under; community? Who wants to start it? I very nearly started one a few weeks ago, the instant I was approved. I still have the draft saved! I held off because I didn’t want like the second post on the whole site to be the CCP thread and/or to get in trouble. (I was in a weird mood that night.) Also, I was waiting to see if there would be a Khador subforum or something. It looks like Discourse works based on tags, though. Maybe I can tag something with Khador now that I graduated from the “training wheels” phase of the site. Hmm…

AT is a deliciously old school 2000's type game, it's a little bit of Warmachine, Battletech and Infinity but far more accessible than the latter two.
It's legit one of the best and most fun rulesets I've had in my hands over the course of my 20-year wargaming career.

Really? Wow, that's some glowing praise. One of the best things about Warmachine to me is that interactions and synergies in your own army; it's not just a bunch of individual models that happen to be standing next to each other attacking the same enemies, if you know what I mean? Does AT have anything like that?

That depends on what you take, mind, the selection is not even nearly as deep as Warmachine so it's more about positioning and leveraging the strengths and loadouts that you bring.
You can have fairly straightforward builds like a Ferrox maniple that just revolves around beating and shooting face at short range, or you could, say, play a Mandatum, which involves taking a Warlord titan with a pack of Warhounds (and/or a Dire Wolf), that all get better at taking orders within 12" of it while also being more accurate against enemies within that distance of your Warlord. There's some stratagems and then your legio choice can matter more or less as well; -My Loyalists have an advantage on their command checks and can give my opponent the initative on the first turn as well as just deploying first (so it's a pretty big thing you're giving away) buuuuut I get a flat out +1 on my punching and shooting skills.ALso the leader gets to make himself and everyone around him faster (or, well, that's one of the leader options at least) -My traitors get a small bonus on the use of flame weapons (war crimes!), has a stratagem that lets me just nuke terrain off the table and has some pretty murderous leader traits.
I mean, it's GW so the rules can be a bit... Wonky, but it's no worse than Warmachine after they do Something New®.

Cool. We'll see how the game goes.
Right now I'm fighting to stay motivated to paint this damned statue I've been working on for the last few weeks. But it's a little hard because an idea I had a while back - perhaps the stupidest idea I've ever had, and that's saying something - has got me trying to design some custom parts in Blender.

Sigh. I am trying to model a sort of "mech body" that has recognizeable Khadoran elements, but fits a certain size and shape profile, and I am having trouble making it not look terrible. I think I'm going to try to use MOW armour as a reference and copy the torso grill, belly plate, etc.
