I don’t think people are generally playing games so there’s not a whole lot to talk about. I’ve never used Kozlov. He came out right around when I started playing fewer games and never ran into him. Also never played 40k. So idk. I have played Infinity! But I didn’t really like it, haha These days I mostly play D&D over roll20 and discord on my days off. We just started Descent into Avernus. I’ve not even painted much. The last thing was the pathfinder Hydra about two weeks ago. I was considering commissioning an artists to make a digital painting of my d&d character from my previous campaign though. Kozlov's a good caster to learn the game and faction on. Get the old BB and you have two different casters that are pretty workable. B is pretty much what he is, although I'd drop him down further if you go beyond 35 points, he is just too focus-starved. But for new players? Good caster. As for Infinity: It's weird. It has a lot of depth but it is very different to other games, and the game accentuates any skill gap even more than in Warmachine. My advice to new players is stick to starter set kits until you don't make too big a boo-boo's anymore, than go to 200, then stick to that for a while.
As to what I am currently working on:

As for Infinity: It's weird. It has a lot of depth but it is very different to other games, and the game accentuates any skill gap even more than in Warmachine. My advice to new players is stick to starter set kits until you don't make too big a boo-boo's anymore, than go to 200, then stick to that for a while. Funnily enough my impression is that a single bad dice roll can have a huge impact throughout the whole game. I mean, I move my big expensive armoured dude with a big powerful gun out from behind cover, and a take four shots at some random cheap grunt, and he gets a lucky crit on his single return shot and I'm dead while he's not. That's a possibility that's in the back of my head every single move I make; I can lose a bunch of my models on my own turn just moving out of cover (you know, if my dice are really bad of course). Yeah, a game of Warmachine can come down to just a few bad dice (maybe you whiffed the turn you sent your big heavy into their big heavy), but there's only a few single rolls that are really game-changing (and rolling two dice flattens the curve a little anyway). Meanwhile Infinity has a very low model count, and any model (barring TAGs I guess) can die to a single dice roll, so every roll feels stressful. It just feels strange to me to have both flimsy models AND a low model count; I feel like a game should have one or the other, not both. Oh, and I'm not really a fan of the whole "rather than moving ten models once each, I'm going to move one model ten times while everyone else just stands around not doing anything". Breaks my immersion a bit. Anyway, that's just my impression based on like three or four games. Zone Raiders has some complexities in terms of what combinations of actions you can take during an activation, but still feels cleaner and more intuitive to me than Infinity while presenting a wider array of choices during each activation, and gives you more ways to tilt dice in your favour based on your actions. It's also a low model count game and models can die to a single shot, but it's less likely than Infinity. That's just based on two games so far sadly. Although being model-agnostic makes it very attractive to me, as I'm not a huge fan of buying models for their rules rather than, you know, for the model - plus that lets my 40K buddies just play the game with some of their 40K models. Also it has rules for co-op play. Look, I just really want Zone Raiders to take off OK? There's a free version of the rules out there for those who are interested (it has the main rules and a few factions).

Kid Cincinnati, from Philly No, you're thinking of the Chicago Kid, from New Jersey.

It's why I don't really like the very expensive stuff in infinity. Nothing should be irreplaceable.

My sole experiences with Infinity are watching it from a distance while playing Warmachine. I was casually chatting with some Infinity guys while they were setting up a game once. They invited me to play sometime and I counter-invited them to try Warmachine, and got a reply similar to “Nah... it’s too complicated.” ...Says the guy referencing more charts to resolve an attack than even Gary Gygax would have found reasonable...

Infinity isn't that chart-heavy.
What I found matters more than the lucky roll is that new players underestimate how much terrain you need and how to deploy it, leading to "snipers and HMG's > everything".
It's a hard game for new players, Warmachine fir all its reputation is easy to learn.

So you know how I said that a tool I use for my light-up bases just broke? Well, I tried to use my cnc router instead, but the stepper motor coupling snapped. I didn't even know that was a thing that could happen. Starting to think Karchev is cursed.

I thought the nerfs made that obvious for a few years now.

(But, seriously, the dude had a laminated chart of some sort that he was repeatedly referencing while they play. Whether it was official or some homegrown aid, I do not know.)

It was probably a chart with the different range bands of all his weapons.

Also that pony mini I posted about last year finally arrived (took like 6 or 7 months to get here...), so I've been eyeing up Khador minis to decide who will ride him. I think my decision will not surprise anyone... Is it Ginuwine?

I had a friend who was really into Infinity and he bought me a bunch of Nomads minis for my birthday one year so I felt kind of obligated to play.
I mostly focused on playing the murder nuns(whos names I forget) but I had a full unit of them with a variety of load outs. Like you guys have said though, the game is just too swingy and random. After a series of particularly annoying losses I gave up on the game.
