You know what I like? Grown adults who apparently enjoy drama when playing with toy soldiers.
Because that makes sense, and we are all definitely still in high school, and our self-worth I guess is predicated upon playing with our toy soldiers better than someone else?
You’ve got me.
(And for those curious: my forum persona is intentionally bombastic for entertainment purposes. I don’t actually make new players cry and kick ladies in the balls in real life.)

Metaphorically, maybe, but I like to believe I am actually a decent human being. Upon various amounts of soul-searching and self-reflection, I think I have concluded that that other guy is just a huge dick*. I feel relatively certain that “offering to play a game” does not qualify as some sort of offense. * insert joke here

I’m far too old for drama. I prefer honesty and genuine personalities.
I don’t have the time or energy to deconstruct tough guy acts or trolls.

I need some ideas.
Khador versus Khador, Unbound. Treasure Hunt scenario. On one side, you have one giant theme force (me, not gonna say which!) versus three other Khador themes (a mix of any themes in Khador except the new Oblivion themes).
Where are they fighting, and what are they fighting over?

Where are they fighting, and what are they fighting over? Is it bad that basically all the scenarios I can come up with kinda require Zerkova to be there? One side suspects the other side of being secret infernalists? Or they're fighting over some infernal/draconic/dead elf god artifact and some guys want to give it to the Greylords and the other guys want to blow it up? Somebody on one side said they love the Motherland more than the other side?

Where are they fighting, and what are they fighting over? The solo side is Wolves of Winter led by a Zerkova and those she's managed to corrupt to her cause to use Orgoth artifacts to gain power. The response is the Empress sending the best of her forces to deal with the upstart rebels. Winter Guard Kommand, Legion of Steel and Armored Corps combine to take down the rebels. Oh, they're fighting near some ancient Orgoth temple. I'm sure it gives some in game benefits/curses depending on who gets near it Cheers, Dave

Hmm. Those are options. I should mention that I don’t have any control over the other person’s theme choices, and that also I really hate Zerkova a lot. She doesn’t bring much to Unbound. She’s an even higher risk play than in normal games, due to the way the turn/round structure works. (You think you’re safe under her feat, then the round ends, the opponent gets initiative, and blows away your army...) But anyway... I really need help with the location. I’m leaning toward more of a city theme for the table, but I just don’t understand what would be in a city for two Khadoran armies to fight over... (I mean, we can always go with “training exercise”, but golly, I have fought like 8 or 9 Khador vs. Khador Unbound matches now, and that is a lot of “training exercises”. )

Where are they fighting, and what are they fighting over? Vlad piloting the big force. Warriors. He has taken the field because he understands the deep corruption eating at the heart of the empire and has rallied the horse lords. (think all good soup opera game of thrones as he stalks out of the throne room to return to Umbry and take to the field). On the other - well you gotta have irusk because he is a bad ass. And Sorscha!! Cause it is wonderous that she has to face her man on the field of battle as she puts country before her heart. I will write the score. Celine Dion will sing the theme song.

The city is built over an ancient ruin that holds an evil artifact of great power. As they do. One side is trying to secure it's power for Khador while the other has decided it is too dangerous and must be destroyed, even if it means fighting against fellow Khadorans.
The inhabitants of the city have actually all been turned in to zombies/replaced by shapeshifting demons/pledged their support to Cygnar/made a pact with the Infernals. One warcaster knows the truth and is trying to destroy the city before the danger spreads, but the others - not knowing the truth - arrived to see a Khadoran force attacking a Khadoran city and immediately leapt to their defense, assuming the warcaster in question is an imposter (especially if the other side is running a version of the same warcaster) or is a traitor or is being controlled somehow.
The city is a cursed ruin; all those who venture are ensorcelled into it seeing their own comrades as enemies. Add a house rule for randomly having to treat your own models as enemy models.

So, something was discovered in the Orgoth catacombs beneath Uld Vroggen, and two separate commands have come down to preserve it and destroy it. That could work! (But I’m gonna toss the “accidentally attack your own dudes” portion, ‘cause of reasons.)

I realise in retrospect that I wasn't particularly clear: those were three seperate suggestions, I wasn't suggesting you use all three at once. Although come to think of it, you probably could if you wanted to...

Except now I’m starting to think the Orgoth catacombs were beneath Korsk instead of Old Vroggen... hmm.
