Is someone going to make an Infernals subforum?

What is the difference between Blood Boon and Blood Weaver and why did they feel the need to change it? This is getting asked a lot, but the difference is actually very meaningful. She can now cast a spell every time she kills something. Blood Boon has a "once per activation" clause. So if she's in melee with more than one model, can cast both Rough Seas and Manifest Destiny, or whatever you choose. Also, Blood Weaver is not tied to a weapon, so both of her melee attacks can trigger it.;

I find that I enjoyed the shorter length fiction more, probably because there was no world narrative to drive and the writing could focus on more small scale moments. The Called to Battle series, the Warcaster/Warlock Chronicles, and similar writings I enjoyed much better.
For one, they're shorter so the editing mistakes don't get compounded as much. And the writers can focus on just having cool characters within a small narrative story set in the Iron Kingdoms. Even if they involve named characters, like Thagrosh, Gastonne, the Butcher, Makeda, Doc Killingsworth, etc the more personal stories seem to be written better and are much more enjoyable to read.
The scale of the large narratives they write are too much to include in relatively short novels. I'm reading them on an iPad, so the page count means nothing to me there, but in the course of a single novel there was a treaty written, broken, a city invaded, and then counterattacked within ~400 pages. I don't need Tolkien levels of descriptions, but the pace of the plot makes it fairly choppy I think.

I just finished Flashpoint and will be reading Aftershock next. Catching up on the Humble Bundle books I bought whenever that sale happened.
The most annoying thing to me is the editing discipline. There are so many descriptors that get repeated within 1-2 pages that clearly should have been edited out. There are multiple examples I've noticed in Wrath of the Dragonfather, Blood of Kings, and Flashpoint. The most recent one I can think of was in Flashpoint, when Stryker is holding his war council meetings in his command tent. Rudel describes the tent, the large table and maps spread out on it. The chapter ends. The next chapter begins ...with another description of the same tent, table and maps with slightly different verbiage.

Depends how you categorize them. If you split them up into "normal," Rhulic, and Privateer the pools become more limited.
Specifically for Privateer jacks it's just the Freebooter, Buccaneer, Mariner and Galleon. With Talion Charter being the focus of the next CID, I can see another Privateer jack being added within reason.

How do the Rangers do for you? I like the unit, but rarely include them because they don't benefit from all the ingrained Trencher synergy

Sorry gotta be THAT guy, Thagrosh is not Skorne! ☻ Ha, good call. 2 games into Skorne, 1 into Legion. The summary is accurate to the games at least.

I personally prefer more bodies with Stryker3. I like the idea of the Sword Knights in Heavy Metal, but it doesn't feel that great because they don't count toward points in the theme.
I run him in Storm Division with a Strider, a min unit of Storm Lances, max Stormguard, max Silverline, Laddermore, Savio, Rhupert, Stormblade Captain Squire, Ironclad and Rowdy. The single wound infantry are definitely squishy, but they kill whatever they get to.
In a tournament recently I played him 3 times. Sadly lost all three games, all into Skorne. First game was a stupid mistake to get assassinated by Thagrosh. He used his feat to jam me. With tactician and my feat, I killed Typhon, a Neraph, an Angelius, and heavily damaged a Scythean. I didn't repo with Stryker and was in range to get slip streamed and charged, hence the loss, but the attrition was heavily in my favor.
Second game was against Rasheth Immortals. Breath of Corruption is not kind to this list, especially when the arc nodes just get revived by a Supreme Guardian. I managed to kill all three units of Immortals, but never got to the Guardian and lost on scenario with only a few models left.
Third game was the closest game I've played in a long time. Into Mordikaar Immortals. Waited out the feat, used my objective + the Strider to kill one Void Spirit, Rhupert's tough saved my bacon for the second Void Spirit and let Stryker3 cast Arcane Bolt for probably the first time ever to kill it. After that we beat each other up, ended up Stryker3 and the Stormblade Captain against Mordikaar and two infantry models. Tied on Scenario turn 7 and he won on Army Points by 3. Sadly the pre-CID theme benefit of Death Rage actually won him the game. It allowed him two free attacks to let his Archidon kill Rhupert before dying and the Krea killed the last Silverline with it's Death Rage, which is what clenched the Army Point victory for him.
While there are definitely drawbacks to two full units of Stormguard, the extra bodies really benefit from Fury and the Feat. While I did lose all three games, the only one that actually felt bad was against Rasheth. Otherwise I really like the list, and it definitely solves my frustration of not being able to do enough damage in melee.

Change is hard, I get that. The adjustment to MK3 after playing MK2 for so long was difficult. There are still minor rules that I get wrong because I'm used to how they previously worked. That said, we are now past the launch of MK3, and we are also well past the introduction of theme forces and the CID.
I think it's safe to say that we are playing the game within a relatively stable system. Outliers continue to be fine tuned as we move along, but the largest examples have already been adjusted. There are now infernal rulings for the vast majority of any odd rule interactions, and I think every faction has competitive options as well as a good identity/core characteristics.
We all understand the past problems, but there's no point in continuing to go over them. They've been resolved, let's move past it. The game is not only well balanced now, it's still just as fun to play.

Wilson created the game and Soles has been the lead developer since MK1. They have literally made the game what it is. I don't understand your reasoning for "the damage they've done"

The width would be 3", that seems rather straight forward. As for thickness, my guess is 3/32", but I don't have any on me at work. Are you wanting the templates to sit flush with the top of the tray? Best thing would be to just use a micrometer and measure it if you want to be precise. Depends on how much you care about tolerance.

I wish keeping up to date with Privateer Press didn't require mass social media stalking. Random tweets, facebook comments, and convention conversations happen all the time that drop this kind of stuff.
Meanwhile the last post on the official PP forums for "News and Announcements" was about the 2019 preview Insider from a week and a half ago.

That's not the Infernal, that's a MonPoc monster from some subterranean themed destroyer faction. Read what it says at the bottom of the picture. Second line bottom left says "Heavy Warbeast". Bottom left shows "Hordes". That indicates that Infernals are not going to be a "Warmachine" Faction as had been previous supposed, but a "Hordes" faction. I was referring to the fact that he said it looks like a CoC heavy. I think in that regard he was referring to the Hammerklak Korvissik, which is a MonPoc model. I see the Hordes symbol and naming.
