Although it gets lower damage box than our heavies, but still it is better than the old one, which has fewer damage box than the light warjacks. And it would be better to add an extra method to fuel the token.... d3 per one turn ensures that it can deal enough damage for two turns but not more. Besides, Conductor is just there for fluff, or maybe it can take a flank and support stormcallers. Unlike Stormblade Infantry Standard Bearer it don't need to be sit down in the middle of the formation. Have you played it's cid version? I don't see how you can have an issue with how many tokens it gets. I mean, it gets d3 tokens each turn, you will probably have at least 2 all time... The problem is, what does you do if all three d3s are only score 1? Even on the most worst case it would gets two tokens on turn 2, sure, but what about the following turn? Roll for three 1s' probability is only 1/27, but it means that you may see this happening and you can't do anything to prevent it. For me, only a slight chance to determine the performance makes a headache. It is not terrible as unusable ROF dice, but it seems a poison. We are already bounded to attack rolls and damage rolls, and it gives us more random factor than the other model. Still, it is better than nothing though. Random resource is still better than no resource. And the way to get the token actually makes it quite playable and point efficient. I am, jusy always unsure about the extra unstability that dominates the performance but cannot be fixed or maintained at all, although this case is almost the most stable one among the various unstable things in the game. Also, although it reliably spends two tokens for two turns, but what about turn 4 or more? I don't think that the game lasts sooooo longer but turn 4 is not uncommon either.

You didn't say whether you have used it or not, but the amount of times I have rolled a 1 for power has been counteracted by me not spending power if I can help it. It doesn't need to be a full power to be good.

No changes for it on the last week of CID. And, actually it is a good choice right now as well.
So, will you buy some Storm Striders(or give them a look)? I wouldn't because I am disappointed by PP, but it seems that taking one would be a decent or good pick for almost all warcasters.

Anyway I bought a used one at a very low price a couple weeks before CID, feels good man.

I got one in a lot a while back and had it done up as a piece of tabletop art. Not regretting it.

Hello fellow swans, i am reading this forum for quiet some time. Actually since PP did not want the traffic on their forums anymore. Because i am not in CID i am a bit confused. Is the Strider getting the much needed changes to its power tokens or not? The disscusion here simply stopped... Having two of those awesome models, i am really curious. Thanks mates!

All of the battle engines were going through CID end of April start of May, they have taken them off CID to now go back for more internal playtesting, and they have not yet released the result.
In its final incarnation in CID it gained d3 power tokens every time it advanced as part of its normal movement. I would expect that to stay the same when the release the final results, but it may not be.

They are being finalized by the Dev team, but the last incarnation of his rules (so a pretty close picture of what it is probably going to be) were: 28 hit boxes (a very big increase) Gains 1d3 power tokens when it advances (So basically when it doesn't Aim) Is considered a Stormcaller for triangulation purposes (like a Stormpod). Has dual attack (so he can shot and melee in the same turn). If the changes remain these as it is likely I would say that it is much much better than before.
