Hey everyone.
I begin with salt. If ye don't care for it, skip to the part that says solution.
Sadly between several hard nerfs I have actually been having trouble making use of the Binkistators in my lists.
-2 ARM (effectively - 3 ARM because my usual group is half mercs which received +1 POW on all their can opener jacks) and the nerf to bulldoze (damn ye, ossrum! You're why we can't have nice things!) has left me very salty and I can't actually find a situation where sturdy actually does anything for me that careful positioning didn't already solve. Couple that with blast immunity or infantry armor buffs being handed out like candy and rain of death is nowhere near as terrifying as it used to be for, well, everyone. Couple that with PP's evident dislike of khador spamming things has made me irrationally cautious about buying more than two of anything.
Solution: The Binki has pretty much become a shield in a game that's about blades so use it primarily for its ability to get in the way and buy ye time.
Mk 3's themes and scenarios are clearly designed to be built around combined arms and despite my best efforts, I find we don't run spam as well as other factions.
This has forced me to actually look at infantry, a course that, admittedly, was irrationally met with irritation.
However, there was a solution in the form of the revised Jaws of The Wolf theme.
Kayazy Eliminators are good units for scoring zones and can, with Stealth, Duellist and their high SPD prove rather survivable to take zones. Keep them spread out in case of blast. Watch out for gunfighter and high SPD shooting as ranged attacks ignore Duellist, their second most important tool for staying alive.
The last most successful 'Binki-Brigade' I've had was
Butch3r Unleashed (-22) - 2 War Argii - 2 Binkistators (28) - 2 Marauders (22)
Steelhead Ironhead (4) - Swabber (13)
2 Kayazy Elinimintaters (5) 2 Kayazy Elinimintaters (0) Yuri the Axe (0)
50 points, 14 miniatures.
This list is in two detachments; the Eliminators and Yuri in one, Butcher and all his mates in the other.
The Eliminators and Yuri buy time, stalling and killing as much as they can. You'll rarely get gang bonuses given how much area they need to cover, so deploy carefully as Khador doesn't recover well from mistakes.
In the meantime, Butcher and his jacks work together to clear one side of the opponent's forces. The Swabber is there to keep Butcher and his doggos on their feet/legs and keep people from killing off the Argii early with mass bombardments as well as protect Butcher from any really nasty range surprises.
Energizer is a form of repositioning. Keep the jack wall to shield Butcher and use Energizer to move them diagonally apart and move B3 and his boys forward to strike. When he is done activating ye should have juuust enough space to run the jacks to reform the wall.
If faced with double Colossals, send the Marauders to jump the first one and then use Butcher to kill the second. At 50 points if you've killed both then odds are you've probably got this in the bag.
I got the idea of this list from watching ranked spear fighting with shield in front.
Part, strike, shield, part, strike, shield.

SQUEE! You joined Lormahordes! That's great news! Maybe this forum can become fun again! BTW, can you repost photos of your Clamjacks please? I've been intrigued by the Swabber and wanted to give him a try. Do you get value out of his drag? If not, then is he worth the points over a Freebooter if all you want is knockdown protection?

Hullo! Yeah I admit I've been trying to unlearn all my old habits and mindsets of mk 2 and am still trying to get used to mk 3, despite PP trying their best to cement us as an infantry faction. The reason I take Swabber isn't just for Lash. He's also for Girded to keep the doggos alive as well as Shield Guard. As a faction without RNG extenders, I have almost never gotten to use any of the Swabber's guns. I'm not as young as I used to be and my health has taken a bit of a downward turn, but I still try to get in a game once a fortnight so any ramblings and ideas is still based on trial and error fumbling rather than armchair theory. At the moment I have yet to find a good role for the Binki in its current form, but lord knows I'm still desperately trying. It was my first non-starter jack in mk 1 and at the beginning of Mk 3 I acquired 4 more because I was promised a glorious age of warjacks. All lies, fuelled by Southern propaganda and their Rhulic lackeys!

I'm not as young as I used to be and my health has taken a bit of a downward turn That's unfortunate, I hope you get better and younger soon. I still try to get in a game once a fortnight so any ramblings and ideas is still based on trial and error fumbling rather than armchair theory. I also try to base my ramblings on actual experience. Unfortunately, according to my records, I played 5 games of Warmachine in 2019 and one in 2020, all against complete newbies (technically 3 of the 6 games were intro games), so these days I mostly just ask questions and complain about how hard it is to find time to paint.

Try them with Feora3. It's a blast. It's probably not A-tier competitive but in a semi-casual setting it will work fine.
I mean, Enliven on clamjacks is pretty dogganm hilarious.

I've been considering her for my Binki caster in BotOF (Binki of the Old Faith) and have already acquired a unit of Choir for this purpose. Battle Hymn on them should give them a chance against armor.

And Battle + Incite lets them slap at effective MAT8 PS20.
Or ROD for 22.
And that's without Redline/Hermit to bump it up further.
Moreso than the new scenarios being a combined arms party, it's that B3 is far more predictable. Gone are the days of charging your own stuff, and too many things can alpha his army and still threaten him after he retaliated because camping isn't as potent as it was.

Update: Binki-Boost is now a Kodiak using the fists and smokestacks from the plastic kit and Binki-Bomb is being turned into the fattest Rager ever. 😁
