Need to rebuild about eveyr list that I have <3 my brother has been absolutely itching to field a Blitzer for a while now, with shooting gallery that might actually be worth checking out. D3 rate of fire is still unreliable, but at RAT 7 close up those shots at least count for something. I've also looked up the stats for Bushwackers compared to Winter Guard Rifles, I didn't realize the suite of extra abilities they bring to the table. I don't know if Tough and Advanced deployment makes up for the loss of 1 RAT, but it does seem kind of of unfair if pygs had everything WGRC had and more for the same cost. might proxy them at some point in the future just to see if I like them at all.

Winter guard rifles have access to Joe. With CRA's they are good solo hunters at effective Rat 9. I don't even think they see that much play because of the proliferation of shield guard and high armour. I like bushwhackers as a front line due to slip through, but they have to combine shots to do anything, which means only 6-7 shots, and even then only Rat 6 rerolled. Coupled with an expensive UA they are 'okay' but nowhere near optimal IMO. Buffing their rat would have at least made them more viable solo hunters.

I thought For The Motherland only works on melee rolls. Well shit.

Always read those bits of text carefully, this is not 40k Butcher 1s feat also works on ranged attacks

I still like bushwackers. Rat 6 CRAs with a reroll still hit def 13 82% of the time and AD with snipe can also threaten a huge area, out to 11" from your opponent's board edge turn 1. With dozer animus on the mortar, you can even get a cheeky pow 10 blast into something your opponent assumes is safe before they have had a chance to do anything.

So with the change to the scatterguners, I find myself asking "Is there such a thing as too many sprays?"

Don't get me wrong that is not what I meant. I just mean if it said something you can take that by the word.

So after losing innacurate, Dozer and Smigg could reasonably get up to an effective RAT 12 in Kriel Company (Base 6 + 2 Aim + 2 Lucky Shot + 2 Mark Target), though I think RAT 10 is more consistently likely. He's going to become a real threat on the table with Gunnbjorn. Who would have thought one change could make such a big difference? I'm excited to put him on the table.

I don't think +4 RAT can be considered 'one' change, it's more like four steps. Looking forward to running them now, they seem very good. And it's a character, with only one aoe, so it's not like the bomber is obsolete.

I plan on putting both in my Gunnbjorn list (or rather, keeping both in the list). I just see a RNG 18", boosted RAT 10 AOE 4" POW 14 with boosted POW 10 blast damage and get a warm fuzzy feeling where my heart used to be.

What I meant is that Dozer seems way better now without invading the Bombers' design space, and that it's a good thing. The danger with buffing stuff is always that it'll outclass its predecessor, which doesn't seem to be the case here.

The update seems good but still I don't think that the lights will have a place in Trollbloods. Mauler is still the cheapest tax as well, in the faction that already have a tax unit.
