I've always had a special place in my heart for weird lists. This goes back to me playing Rhyas with Ogrun back in MkI. This idea has been bouncing around in my head and I'm curious what you all think. Obviously, it's not something you'd run against a blast damage-heavy list:
Theme: Children of the Dragon 75 / 75 Army
Thagrosh, Prophet of Everblight - WB: +28 - Blightbringer - PC: 32 (Battlegroup Points Used: 28) - Carnivean - PC: 18
Craelix, Fang of Everblight - PC: 0 Incubus - 5 Incubi: 6 Incubus - 5 Incubi: 6 Spell Martyr - PC: 1 Spell Martyr - PC: 1 Blackfrost Shard - Sevryn, Rhylyss & Vysarr: 9 Blighted Nyss Hex Hunters - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15 - Bayal, Hound of Everblight - PC: 0 Blighted Nyss Swordsmen - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15 - Blighted Nyss Swordsmen Abbot & Champion - Abbot & Champion: 0
Hit me with your most critical feedback.
My thinking is that DEF 16 against ranged and magic, which is nice. Troops are relatively fast and easily swings +4 damage on melee (+6 with effort), which makes even the charging Hex Hunters hit pretty hard and work as good anti-infantry with Battle Wizard. While the Hex Hunters and their Incubi slow down whatever they're dealing with and then the Swordsmen actually tear stuff up. Craelix is Craelix. And then there's the Carnivean and the Carnivean again for more smashing face.

Not bad imo - it may struggle against jack/beast heavy lists (but no list can or should cover everything). I am a big fan of HH + Thag1 for FoW and damage boost.
In my experience, i have struggled with getting BFS into position without loosing them first. You may have enough fodder to better cover them. I don't see a way to swap them for another warbeast that is appealing - other than maybe a Raek to handle pesky solos... don't know if that is needed though.

I think the Black Shard gives good support you army. Craelix and Swordsmen are going to clear a hole through infantry. Blightbringer and Carnivean give some all around hitting power. The Hex Hunters scream assassins to me. With AD, Prowl, Fog of War, they can give denial up field where needed but between Bayal and magic attacks/Incubus, a warcaster is going to have to deal with that.

It seems a shame not to have a bloodseer in there. More trouble then it's worth removing it in this list, and an excellent fit with HH.
I have no idea what to cut though.

What has worked for me in the past for protecting the Shard is threat saturation, where I just keep too many things in the opponent's face to deal with. This has worked well with me for Ogrun, and I think the Hex Hunters who are all also Incubi will do the trick, too. The most I've ever landed Kiss Of Lyliss is 3 times in a game, but every time I've landed it, they earned their points. Craelix is there for solo hunting. And I hear you about the Bloodseer. There's no way I'm going to fit him in. Hex Hunters love telemetry so much.
The list I'm thinking of pairing this with is a Thagrosh2 tank list, the main point of which is to get Thagrosh2 up to ARM 24 or have him constantly scalpeling hard targets with Lightning Strike.
Theme: Primal Terrors 75 / 75 Army
Thagrosh, the Messiah - WB: +25 - Blightbringer - PC: 32 (Battlegroup Points Used: 25) - Carnivean - PC: 18 - Golab - PC: 17
Hellmouth - Hellmouth & 3 Tentacles: 0 Hellmouth - Hellmouth & 3 Tentacles: 0 Chosen of Everblight - Leader & 4 Grunts: 20 Blighted Ogrun Warmongers - Leader & 4 Grunts: 13 - Gorag Rotteneye - PC: 0
