Hello fellow Khadorans! I'm fairly new to the game (fewer than 10 games in the last 6 months or so). So far I've mainly been playing Sorscha 3 Armored Corps to some success. Love me some man-o-wars! I think my list is fairly standard as far as Armored Corps themes go but am wondering how much success people have had running either of the chariots with Sorscha3. I feel like they're going to be pretty good regardless of which caster you end up running. I'm more inclined to go with an assault chariot with Sorscha since she doesn't help the siege chariot's shooting. Blowing your one big shot and missing seems like a poor investment. Anyways, is the 14 points worth it with Sorscha, or would adding in a few more support pieces or another 'jack be more suited to her playstyle? Here's the list I'm currently planning on fielding: conflictchamber.com/?c3201b_-0Tk_kV7snj8pl5l4l3l2l7l17QgdjJKhador [Theme] Armored Corps [Sorscha 3] Kommandant Sorscha Kratikoff [+28] - Beast 09 [18] - Kodiak [13] - Greylord Adjunct [4] Man-O-War Drakhun [9] Man-O-War Kovnik [4] Man-O-War Strike Tanker [0(5)] Man-O-War Suppression Tanker [0(6)] Kommandant Atanas Arconovich & Standard [7] Man-O-War Demolition Corps (max) [14] - Sergeant Dragos Dragadovich [0(6)] Man-O-War Shocktroopers (max) [16] - Man-O-War Shocktrooper Officer [4] Man-O-War Assault Chariot [14]

I wouldn’t recommend either of the chariots with Sorscha3, they are already pieces that I find meh even at the best of time, but they just don’t work well with Sorscha3’s kit. She wants to use her feat to protect her advance and her feat can’t block line of sight to a chariot. It means every gun will be able to hit that chariot and the chariot are super fragile as far as huge base go. For Sorscha3 I’d go for a bigger battlegroup and more tanker over taking a chariot any day.
I’ve had ok success with the chariot with Old Witch 2 but that’s about it, in general they are not worth it. Kinda sad since they went through cid and people kept telling them they were underwhelming and they didn’t get that much in return, they are far from say a Dawnguard trident power level.

What auraco said, but then I'm a chariot sceptic generally.
I'd probbaly say a Marauder + min mechaniks in your list would be better value. You do have little shooting then though.

I find the chariots solid. Knockdown + impact attacks is still one of the only ways the theme has for dealing with Tough.

Not a fan of jack marshalling in general, but marshalling under Sorscha3 and giving up on the field marshall flank, that's just outreageous

Give that Kovnik a friend. Destroyer with Aim jack marshal ability or Devastator to stop infantry swamps. Jack marshaling in AK. Now that's a thing I haven't heard of in a long time. There is a benefit, if you use the destroyer as a back field AoE lobber or Devastator to gunk up high def units small bases that give med bases fits. I think for that purpose Devastator is the best option. Unlike focus manips if you loose a jack marshal late game it is still autonomous and annoying.

But with suppression tankers and Sorscha3's feat you don't really fear small base dudes with your man o wars tho. And the kodiaks with Sorscha3 do well against both Small base dudes and heavies if you can trigger the flank from the field marshal. I can see the value of marshalling with some casters, I know there are a couple of OW2 list in jaws that get good mileage out of marshalling, but you just loose too much taking a jack outside of battlegroup with Sorscha3 in my opinion.

But with suppression tankers and Sorscha3's feat you don't really fear small base dudes with your man o wars tho. ... We have obviously encountered different small-based dudes, then! I’ve had a few situations in which the Tankers couldn’t dislodge a few key models due to various combinations of Shield Guard, low ROF rolls, and lucky Tough rolls. 2d3 sometimes ends up as “2”, after all. Usually Tankers do the job, but if I know I’m going to be dealing with Tough non-steady guys, I will send a chariot to deal with them first. Different of course if we have a situation in which the Suppression Tankers can lay down Covering Fire before the opponent gets there, but it seems like I am often on the offensive instead. /shrug

I find the chariots solid. Knockdown + impact attacks is still one of the only ways the theme has for dealing with Tough. I know this thread is for S3, but im with ya chariots are amazing. The siege chariot gets work done for me every game. Power 20 slam gun is no joke, cheap, clouds, and if your opponent doesnt trade something for it fast the chariot will wreck havoc.
