Some awesome Cyriss love. What I wonder is why Mortenebra is playing 3 sides? Cryx, hearts of darkness, and Cyriss? Not the only one in that boat. Crosse2 also does that being able to be run in either Darkness Theme for either for or against the Infernals. I wonder if this is being run as a sort of "choose your own adventure" until the lore says otherwise. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Crosse stays a good guy. After Orin broke my heart, (especially after reading the novels where he found redemption) I am hoping Crosse can unbreak it. Like seeing the Magus and Stryker tag team in the fluff though. A scary combo. I am wondering where Mortenebra will end up. Maybe a sort of Cyriss saint. In the end she deceived them all!

To be fair, a Thamarite is never really a "good guy", but do they trend to be better than Infernalists.
Mortenebra may actually be the person who suggests the diaspora that leads to Neo-Mechanika.
Heh, could you imagine playing a 2 'Warcaster' game with one side using Magnus2 and Stryker3 (or is he 4 now?) and the other side doing Infernals? Obviously Themes would be out because of the set up (currently), but I think even presenting the idea to some of these groups would make their heads explode. Just playing a 2 ''Caster' tends to make them jittery.

PP has said on multiple occasions that Hearts of Darkness is a "what if", if certain characters would've chosen a different path on a certain crossroads in their (un)life, they could've ended up infernalists. I also think it's a kind of lame justification, but the only actual traitors are the characters actually in the Infernals army. Crosse is a good guy, HoD is not canon, but I was really sad, and a little amazed, at the Orin story as well. That was good story telling. Mortenebra actually joined Cryx out of necessity. She was researching soul transference on a captured Iron Lich and discovered a means through quasi-necromancy. The rest of the Convergence didn't like this and ousted her, although used (part of) her research to eventually do it themselves. As far as I know, she enjoys tinkering with things for Cryx, but now that a hand is extended from the Convergence, I would think she's all too eager to go back. I'm more wondering how they convinced Asphyxious, though he is a pragmatist, megalomaniacal, but pragmatic.

Very true, Asphyxious is always self serving. There is a really good reason he joined Cyriss. I do remember from old the fluff, that Gaspy attempted to become a god, not for power, but that was the only way he could complete his damaged soul. I guess as a former omnipotent he is more sensitive or aware of how damaged his soul is being not just undead but blighted undead.
Maybe Cyriss has figured this out and that was the offer.

The way you build themes and alternate activate around 50 point detachments makes the games play flow good. With the new fluff, I think we definitely need a new Magnus model or a addition of Magnus the Warlord into a Cygnar friendly merc. Reading the Acts of War is like watching an alt history where Vader never dies and fights along side Luke.

There was discussion of Magnus2 being a Cygnar Merc at the start of Mk 3, but I can't remember if it was only implemented for a short time and errata'd out or if it was clamped down and never came to light. The original Mk 3 card has him lose his Skorne Minion option (probably to keep him from "Working For Food"), but no additions to his Mercenary options.
Magnus3 is something often talked about, and making him a Cygnar Merc or even Partisan, would make sense. That being said, there are so many candidates that could use their own Epic version, to say nothing of the need of expansion for the Cephalyx and Rhulic 'Casters, that it should be some time before we see him.

Nemo 4 I see as acceptable if he lost “opening the gate”. He already has enough as it is, and I feel like overusing abilities like that just makes them feel less important where they already are (in the circle).

The other thing that’s kind of odd about Nemo is that I’m not sure if he’s in the cult or not....why isn’t it High Priest Prime Nemo?

Who even gives a toss at this point if Nemo 4 is busted, the Well of Orboros already exists, the devs are just not very good atm, best to just accept that

I almost felt compelled to go out and buy a strange bedfellows list.
Though seeing as how I own no other convergence, cygnar, OR cryx, it might not be the best idea.
