Kind of? Calandra's Star-Crossed effects all enemies, so you'd still benefit from that. Ragnor's Pulverizer can target non-faction as well.

I think the Partisanlessness absolutely wrecks him. You always want to bring the Archon with the tanks. And if not the Hermit. You always have that strong merc spot competition. But I would love to have him in the lists. The merc spot is much more of a Problem than the faction I think. He is fine without buffs, if he and his Jack would be faction, then he would be absolutely strong under stone aura etc. But I see his faction problem with hte marshal rule. A cool solution would either be to edit the theme to keep him as a "free" merc. Or a rule that would allow him to always take merc jacks as a Marshal regardless of his faction. But I also see how this is simply not their priority right now.

Unless you’re building your list around getting the d3 heals (lots of chaff Infantry, Whelps) there’s not much going on there.

Maybe I am overthinking the archon, but I think keeping a tank alive is huge, welps go in the theme anyways (Mark Target) and you are likely to see 2 bombers, where soothing song will end up leaving both at a manageable 3 fury after full boosting everything. But this is not written in stone, Haluk is more thematic and also has good things going for him.

I don't know, the change doesn't need a whole lot of contemplating, it would just make raluk more playable. Changes like this (raluk as a free merc) don't need testing, just add it to dynamic update and who knows, maybe people will play him. I will him anyway because tanks plus WW plus freebooter plus thumpers will look stunning.

The things being dedicated to kill it are generally killing it outright. Remember, you can't use Threads of Life on the Pyg Tanks.

Of course this isn't the same (character, single model, less utility), but statements like "you don't need to think about it" lead to slippery slopes. I'd like to believe that they do think about things, even though they mess up at some times, to get us a better game.

I do think the difference between a change to make life a little bit more convenient and a possibly gamebreaking situation (such as making freebooters partisans along with raluk) that needs proper testing is obvious im some cases, and that this is one of those cases. But all in all you are right of course. Not the best mindset for a game developer to adopt.

Here is what I was thinking in terms of a list focusing on the pyg tanks. Plenty of knockdown for them to take advantage of and lots of mark targeting solos. I'm sure the list could be improved some, and I'd love to see other people's suggestions:
War Room Army
Trollblood - Grissel 2
Theme: Kriel Company 75 / 75 Army
Grissel Bloodsong, Marshal of the Kriels - WB: +27 - Trollkin Runebearer - PC: 0 - Dire Troll Bomber - PC: 19 (Battlegroup Points Used: 19) - Dire Troll Bomber - PC: 19 (Battlegroup Points Used: 8) - Dire Troll Mauler - PC: 15
Ledfoot & Tredz - PC: 7 Pyg Tank - PC: 5 Pyg Tank - PC: 5 Boomhowler, Solo Artist - PC: 0 Dhunian Archon - PC: 0 Braylen Wanderheart, Trollkin Outlaw - PC: 5 Troll Whelps - 5 Whelps: 4 Troll Whelps - 5 Whelps: 4
Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes - Leader & 3 Grunts: 6 - Stone Scribe Elder - PC: 3 Thumper Crew - Gunner & 2 Grunts: 5 Thumper Crew - Gunner & 2 Grunts: 5
THEME: Kriel Company ---

I am now leaning towards this list, because I just love how it looks. There's some synergy, should probably have the stone, but I don't own one because this used to be all ranged units. Nothing special, but good fun for friendly games.
Hunters grim (25 + 75 kriel company)
0 runebearer 19 dire troll bomber 8 swamp troll
4 Raluk Moorclaw 9 freebooter 16 warweagon
10 2x pyg tank 7 ledfoot
15 trollkin highwaymen 0 Braylen
7 trollkin fireeaters
5 thumper crew (swich out of boomhowler?) 0 thumper crew (switch out for whelps?)

I don't know how useful you find the fire eaters, but you could consider dropping them for a min. Stone, or for boomhowler2.

You can have runbearer with grim hunter since he have it’s own attachment?

You can have runbearer with grim hunter since he have it’s own attachment? Not technically an attachment. He is a warlock unit, which is different. He can still have a warlock attachment.
