First game with tanks, so got some real feedback. Played following list: Trollbloods [Theme] Kriel Company [Grissel 2] Grissel Bloodsong, Marshal of the Kriels [+27] - Dire Troll Bomber [19] - Mountain King [36] - Trollkin Runebearer [0(5)] Braylen Wanderheart, Trollkin Outlaw [0(5)] Dhunian Archon [0(6)] Troll Whelps [4] Pyg Tank [5] Pyg Tank [5] Ledfoot & Tredz [7] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6] - Stone Scribe Elder [3] War Wagon [16] Game was also my first with new KC. Grissel is my second favorite caster (after Borka) and I have played her alot. List have a bit problem with mass infantry as it has limited amount of attacks, but War wagon helps on that one. Played against Garryth2 that I think is bad matchup as Mortality is one of the few things that shut mountain king down. Also feat is worthless against shooting lists. Scenario was bunker that was our least successful scenario on WTC. Won start roll by reroll and choose side that have wall on zone. Enemy run to positions outside my ranges, except Eiryss1 that was killed my one tank (after missing her with MK). I advanced on my first turn. Second turn all shooting goes to war wagon that was killed. MK clears central flag and L&T scores it. Grissel shoot on harby to near dead and feat. 2-1. Garryt feat and all shooting do ~2/3 damage to MK but not any aspects. Garryth feat and scores own zone 2-2. I try to give opponent as few feat shots as I have quite good hold of scenario. Give some shots and L&T took total 9 point damage. Last activations was whelps running to enemy zone, killed by feat shot, dhunia heals L&T, repeated until shot was missed. L&T was back on full health. 5-2. I was too greedy with Grissel2 and my repo couldn't bring me back behind wall (I also forgot to give grissel2 eyeless sight so I could have shot Moros to ground) so Garryth2 tried to assassination but missed mortality so I have easy win by killing objective and pushing models out of flags. In total I lost 1 warwagon. Pyg tanks was real hard for enemy to crack as they are def12+deflection+cover/concealment = 16/18 and arm20 under stone. They didn't shoot any jacks to death after grissel has knocked them down, but they killed stuff with guns and blasts on their own. But more important they give mark target to MK and Grissel and score and hold flags. Overall I really liked them and the list and will be testing it more after I get models for it (tanks was just too cool so I have to proxy them once. And it was very satisfying moment when there was one tank on every flag. Cool report, but I am curious do we know for sure Dhunian Archons can be taken in Kriel Company? Also although I find it a little confusing in the report and so may be misunderstanding, but the tanks are constructs aren't they so I don't think they can be healed.

The Dhunian Archon doesn't specify Living models with her healing, so she can heal the tanks. "Healing" isn't actually a game term, and there's nothing that stops Constructs from having damage removed. Usually the Repair action specifies construct and the Heal action specifies living. You can take her in Kriel Company if you use your Minion slot on her. She then becomes a Trollbloods solo, so you can take her as one of your requisition options. Same reason you can take Boomhowler2 in Sotn, BoW or PoD if you use your Minion slot.

Just noticed that I had old list version posted and had Boomhowler2 in stead of Braylen in actual list. I part I totally forgot on game was L&T having slipstream. Not sure if that would had make any difference, but would have been handy especially on Garryth feat turn to move two models on one move.

Up in the War Room. Too op to be for free... Dunno why... L&T will be in troll lists, kinda open the light beasts if ya want to play them, non-char not sure.

Up in the War Room. To op to be for free... Dunno why... They're large bases, so don't fall under the regular clause. I suppose they don't want to update the wording and call things out specifically every time they add a new model. Besides, there are still plenty of requisition options so that it won't really matter in practice.

Nothing changed xd Sorry, but "we're underpowered, we deserve more than the rest" is exactly what let the Tharn CID slip through. It's a very dangerous mindset. Besides, writing specific exceptions muddies the rules and just makes it harder to manage later, ask any programmer

The argumentation is not good, but their place as Huge Base solo is quite unique. You could compare them to other stuff, like tankers or the sentry stones that can be taken for free, so the base tanks should be fine. On the other hand: You will most likely find other 5 points tuff you are taking anyways. So practically there is not a hige issue here. I feel our merc slot is clogged right now! In KC its fine because boomhowler and tanks and archon all work (because the archon is the only one taking the slot). In BoH or SoN I would actually like to get the Char Tank and Boomie2 and the Archon One more thing: The Archon actually has friendly in everything but shoothing song. So Valkyries (and Tharn!) can absolutely be saved by it! Even for me for whom English isnt the first languange there is a big differance between enjoy and deserve Even though there are intances when large base models are RP, so the term deserve more also kinda doesnt aply. Dont want to insult, just wanted to explain that we missed our thoughts

I have this probably terrible plan where you bring all the tanks, Glacier King, Thumpers, Boomhowler Solo and Kolgrimma. You then pray your opponent can be moved and you play for scenario like a mad man.

You’ll run into the occasional list that does it, but it isn’t quite as common as, say, Grievous Wounds or KD immunity.

Quite telling that the average ebay auction for a box of immortals has gone from $30-ish to like $50 post CID.
