I'm new to the game and thus new to the forum. I have been reading and I see a lot of terms that I can't figure out what they mean. I apologize for my ignorance but here we go:
What does ADR mean? I think it has something to do with army lists but I'm not too sure. What does skew mean? Also in the War Room app, it references "Specialist" when building an army list. It gives three options, None, Standard and Vanguard. What is the difference?

ADR is active duty roster - a selection of four casters per faction chosen by PP and updated every so often. If you play those casters in certain situations you get a benefit. I forget the details, you get X extra points to add to your list, and you can swap those extra models in or out. You still play at the same point level, but you have some flexibility.
Skew means building your list to push a particular attribute beyond typical averages, like packing your list with as many def15+ models as you can could be a def skew. You'd probably also include ways to push your def even higher.
I don't know what the specialist thing is. I thought specialists were the extra points you got from sticking to the ADR, but Standard and Vanguard don't mean anything to me right now. Hopefully someone else will chime in on that.

Check out the link here: privateerpress.com/organized-play/mastersIt states everything to do with ADR. Short version is if both your casters are part of the ADR then you get 40 points extra for anything you may need. This 40 pt "Specialist" list lets you substitute models in so that you can be better prepared. For example, if you have a model you like playing only against gunlines, then put it in the Specialist list. Then whenever you think you are facing a gunlines *cough* Cygnar *cough*, you can substitute said model in and take another model out.

This is also not the most up to date list, but it is a glossary of terms that may help a new player like yourself. Many of the terms reference stuff from MK2, but a lot of it is still true. www.chain-attack.com/jargon/

For those of you that are familiar with Magic: The Gathering (MTG), your specialists in your ADR lists are your sideboard. But instead of playing a game then getting to swap out, you get to see what your opponent is playing and then swap out, but remember, it's still points for points, not card for car like in MTG.
