Let me say first out that this isn’t a gripe with PP or anyone in general really. But let’s just talk about our fears for the game and gaming in general.
-potentially a lack of new mechanics. If this just takes the best parts of war machine, infinity, and 40k, I’m still not going to be impressed. I want the game to feel like something that’s weird, experimental, and has a heart.
-lack of any in depth story. This is going to be a very shallow story world on release. War machine has always had a lot of source material to pull on.
We haven’t really seen anything yet, but I’m still a little scared for the game. The markets already super saturated, I hope this finds a niche, but I don’t know yet.

There has been far too little released for any of us to know anything right now. That being said: -potentially a lack of new mechanics. If this just takes the best parts of war machine, infinity, and 40k, I’m still not going to be impressed. I want the game to feel like something that’s weird, experimental, and has a heart. Sometimes that amalgamation is what makes it great. World of Warcraft did very little in originality. Pretty much everything was taken from another MMORPG that was out at the time. They just streamlined it and tried to bring the best parts together and grew from there. That being said, that doesn't always work well. There are more Asian MMORPGs that did not get those amalgamations right than Cryx has Mechanithralls. Concern is there, but I am going to be patient until I have a chance to get my hands on it. -lack of any in depth story. This is going to be a very shallow story world on release. War machine has always had a lot of source material to pull on. Warmachine was based off a D&D campaign. Hordes was based off some of the Mercs and the bad guys from that D&D campaign. There is currently a lack of depth to the story on our end, but all we've had is a teaser, nothing else. Prime Mk 1 gave us most of our story depth for quite some time, remember.
I do hope they have a Seacat equivalent to keep an eye on things and help it have it at launch, though.
We haven’t really seen anything yet, but I’m still a little scared for the game. The markets already super saturated, I hope this finds a niche, but I don’t know yet. It may be super-saturated, it may not be. It's still a year away, at least, and we could see some of those aspects of the market be closed for reasons not readily apparent or even existing at the moment. Warcaster may be the perfect fit for a game bigger than Infinity, but smaller than WarmaHordes & Star Wars Legion without relying on a game board (looking at you KT and WarCry). There may be a Brexit riot in Nottingham that torches GW HQ, and that leads to their eventual collapse. Disney may find a loophole and take Star Wars away from Fantasy Flight. Too many unknowns (though some much less likely than others) to be worried about market saturation.
In the end, it will be based on the people who find the models and gameplay good who will be the ones selling this game on the local level, and if they manage to not drive people away with an unsupportive attitude, it may break well.

Let me re-phrase:
“We have no information on which to base a valid opinion, but based on my wild speculation and vague fears, I am concerned for the game!”
...
Yeah, I have nothing for you.

The notion of brexit riots is terrifying, even if it means no more color/colour debates and an end to 40k

At the end of the day, I have almost no opinion on neo whatever, because there isn't any info on it. I'm going to wait until I see rules and models. At the end of the day, I'm reserving judgment until we get something substantial.

It may not matter. How many FLGS still distribute PP? Without being in stores they may be dead before they launch. Literally 50% of my FLGS is GW. 0% is PP.

I know with my own LGS', the nearest has limited his PP because most of his purchasers are old gamers so need nothing more than the most recent releases. The more distant one is actually on good terms with some of the staff when they worked together back in the day.
Of course, Warmachine University is reporting a LOT of models on direct order only, so who knows how much the LGS can get without bypassing their suppliers?
I haven't been around the stores a lot to ask about opinions on Neo-Mechanika, and when I posted it on the local WMH FB page, I literally had no responses to it.

Original? No. I just hope there is alternative activations and other ways to win the game besides pure combat.

By which I mean old, couple of years back when MK3 was well on it's way I bought some legion models that still held the MK1 cards, in a gamestore in Ljubljana. Everybody in Europe buys through big online gamestores.

And loadsa stores around dropped PP right after printed cards debacle.
