I want to make Magnus2 in Kingmaker because I like trencher longgunners and I think his feat and calamity really helps them. Any advice on what would make a good list? (min) [11] Trencher Long Gunners (max) [18] - Trencher Long Gunner Officer [4] Croe's can kinda work with his feat, since it gives them a better chance to backstrike, while prey has really increased their value. I know Magnus2 probably runs better in Irregulars but given I want longgunners in, what's the best I can do here? The key issue I have here is stealth mitigation, but Madelyn helps somewhat.

What's the plan to get Calamity out there with neither a Renegade nor Sylys? Magnus' feat. Basically Magnus has to be close to the front line, but his feat helps survive retaliation. You can hide behind a Rover or something. At worse the talon can be a bucanneer that knocks him down. Yes a renegade helps, but 10 points for the arc node is quite pricy. I could swap the talon for a renegade and lose out on the ironhead, but overall the renegade basically arcs once, shoots once, and then becomes a road block. He's not bad, but I'm not sure if he's optimal.

Renegade does so much work. Not only is it an arc node that is pretty necessary for calamity, but its rocket will provide a key threat. Plus it has decent armor for a light when engaged. Unyeilding is good.

Cool, swapped the talon and nomad for a freebooter and renegade. May consider swapping out the ironhead to upgrade the freebooter to a toro.

Unless she's on your very front line, you probably have models who can just walk up and shoot from within 5". eh has teh long trenchar gunnars aftar all I've actually found the parlay more useful, but she can for example negate stealth on a morghoul while longgunners blast him to bits. It requires her playing a bit further forward but she can pawn it off so its not too bad. Orin has to be near her too. As shoe pointed out the real issue is longguners don't want to walk. Her 13" stealth negation is enough for them. But yeah it is a bulky package overall I'm thinking of just running them in LR with Ash instead where Reinholdt is much better at getting rid of stealth. As a bonus they get repo3, pathfinder and veteran leader there.

C’mon man, get your head in the game. Stop making me do your work for you. Also, I am amused that shoe’s rank is “Boots on the Ground.” Can we get a mod to make that permanent?
