There is not really a link between being a Thamarite and being an infernalist fluffwise. One is about being free and not believing in restrictions, the other is about trading part of yourself for power. It's true that there isn't any direct link between being Thamarite and being an infernalist. But it's stated a bunch of times in the fluff that infernals don't really have any interest in trading for YOUR soul assuming you can bring them a bunch of OTHER people's souls. And if you're dealing in souls for your own self interest... What's the down side to following the goddess of self-interest? At the least the Circle of the Word and The One Key, as well as some number of Progenesists subscribe to this philosophy. Outside of Thamar worship an infernalist's only options for the afterlife are two slightly different versions of hell.

Back before Oblivion at least, you could be a Thamarite and an Infernalist, because being an Infernalist just meant you made deals with Infernals. But Thamar's teachings were clear - if you were going to be a Thamarite and an Infernalist, you had to be good at being an Infernalist and not give your own soul away (that one belongs to Thamar, thank you very much).
I am disappointed that this seems to be such a good theme. Not for the rules, but I don't like the aesthetics of the Precursors and a good Khador build with only one Khador model (Zerkova) just isn't right to me. I didn't pick Khador just for the play style.

A number of folks are doing some amazing kit bashes with some of the menoth and cygnar models to make em look khador. I am going to do SOMETHING with my daughters of the flame - up to and including making them all kayazy. I haven't studies PK's yet to know..... And you can just wait a month - we don't yet know what the LoLS looks like - perhaps they will be able to be modified more easily into a Khador look.

I’d still like to see an other caster for Flames, but not too sure who’d fit. I could see Strakhov being a thamarite and harkevich being a morrowan, but I don’t see either of them as particularly religious. The thamarite advocate career in the IKRPG (my favourite career in the books btw) actually gives you plenty abilities that make you better at haggling with Infernals as well as letting you start with Language: Telgesh which lets you read Infernal runes. Not all, but many Thamarites strike deals with Infernals because its one of the fastest and easiest ways to gain power and I wager many have the delusion of being able to "outplay" Infernals in their deals.

Actually its the other way around. Very few thamarites deal with infernals. They're actually warned against dabbling in such matters and now it's one of the tenets that infernalism is completely shunned, considered against the teachings of the dark goddess, and a failure of will. Infernalism represents enslavement, one even more perilous than accepting the chains of menite or morrowan teachings. Most of the thamarites know the infernal language because Thamar instructed them to study the infernals after she made the deal. She was trying to find a loophole as soon as she could.
