I don't see myself putting hand of fate too often on the judicator to be honest, infernal machine is just way too good on it and everything wants hand of fate anyway, hot swapping it between say the outriders and the fun carriage seems legit though. I really like the scenario presence offered by the judicator with infernal machine, first turn positionning 14'' across the board is really great and after that it's quick enough to easily threathen entire zones.

auraco, I think you’re generally right. However, situationally, if the lines have engaged and you Judy is ready for action, hot swapping to the Judicator has got to really be a thing. Double stacked hand of fate is an average +3 to hit and damage, so with your Choir that’s +5 damage...and if using the flame throwers that’s +19 on the sprays within 5’ of your Archon, who has Dash on when swooping in towards their caster... I’m thinking perhaps something like this if I drop the Uhlans. Perhaps double Wracks, double Mechaniks is a better option for th 4 points for the free focus and disposable solos, but a treewalking SPD 7 manhunter with Yuri on point seems like a Scenario Thing for the inevitable forest sitting in the middle of the board... 75 / 75 Army Vladimir Tzepesci, Great Prince of Umbrey - WJ: +27 - Judicator - PC: 35 (Battlegroup Points Used: 27) Winter Guard Gun Carriage - PC: 17 Vassal of Menoth - PC: 0 Vassal of Menoth - PC: 0 Hermit of Henge Hold - PC: 0 Menite Archon - PC: 8 Yuri the Axe - PC: 0 Manhunter - PC: 4 (or, double wracks, double mechanics) Choir of Menoth - Leader & 3 Grunts: 4 Flame Bringers - Leader & 4 Grunts: 17 Greylord Outriders - Leader & 4 Grunts: 17

I will say Yuri has been a MVP every single game I’ve used him in. 8 boxes, stealth, tree walker and the tough combined with the first turn Dash let’s him get into some really awkward spots.
I’d be inclined toward the double wrack, double mechanic over a single Manhunter. Just a lot more freedom in scenario and focus management and makes dealing with the Judi just that bit more of a pain.

I like the idea of random flag scoring solos and extra focus efficiency. As for Yuri, the trade off is real - offense or defense. Vilmon makes an exceptional SPD 7, MAT 9, POW 14 (weapon master), ARM 21 shield guard. He was able to offer protection to Vlad on Turn 2, enameling me to not cast Wind Wall and keep the extra focus. If I gave up the solos I could fit in an ARM 21 Paladin who also gains Vilmon’s righteous vengeance. These flag scorers won’t get shot off flags, that’s for sure...
Has anyone had good luck with the Paladins in WotoF?
