I recently painted her (and Una1, and a gaggle of griffons) so Ive been putting her on the table alot. With griffons and a storm raptor, plus varied support in Wild Hunt (formerly Call).
It didnt play so well.
Ive added a min WoO now to ambush, and that was better. But she still feels like shes just “Hand of Fate: the warlock” because thats literally the only thing shes done (and flank I guess) outside being a blank warlock card. I really dont see how shes good. Planning to try out full WoO+CA to see if it helps, so heres the next test list:
Theme: The Wild Hunt 75 / 75 Army
Una the Skyhunter - WB: +29 - Druid Wilder - PC: 0 - Storm Raptor - PC: 34 (Battlegroup Points Used: 29) - Scarsfell Griffon - PC: 8 - Scarsfell Griffon - PC: 8 - Scarsfell Griffon - PC: 8 - Scarsfell Griffon - PC: 8 - Razorwing Griffon - PC: 7 - Rotterhorn Griffon - PC: 7 - Gorax Rager - PC: 7
Blackclad Wayfarer - PC: 0 Blackclad Wayfarer - PC: 0 Gallows Grove - PC: 2
Wolves of Orboros - Leader & 9 Grunts: 11 - Wolves of Orboros Chieftain & Standard - Chieftain & Standard Bearer: 4
What have folks found to work with her?

So, I usually play her in dev host. Tharn blood pack are extremely dangerous with hand of fate, as are wolf riders. At the end of the day, she really sort of is "hand of fate, the warlock" but hand of fate is a really good spell.

My preference is to run her in Dev host. With the prevalence of circle zones in the current scenario packet I feel like infantry is more necessary than it has ever been. I really want to run a beast brick, but every time I do I feel like I want a couple big units to provide scenario support. Additionally, HOF makes BloodTrackers insane. I want to play with Wild hunt, but the more I play test the more I feel that wild hunt infantry needs the Mk3 treatment before I truly want to play with it.

Either of you care to share a list you enjoy with her?

Here is what I wrote up and plan to try. Part of me wants to tweak it to get in a unit of Ravagers or Bloodpack, but I plan to try this first. I would plan to put apparition on the trackers T1, and HOF on the raptor. Then I would cycle HOF between the raptor and trackers for the next couple turns. Sounds solid in theory as you could reliably take a heavy a turn off the board with those two units shooting under HOF.

I've used this one with pretty good success conflictchamber.com/?c8201b_-1xgM4B5H5H5H5H5H5HmO5g5gfImIjX5f5fCircle [Theme] The Wild Hunt [Una 2] Una the Skyhunter [+29] - Gorax Rager [7] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Storm Raptor [34] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Bog Trog Mist Speaker [4] Lord of the Feast [0(6)] Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron [5] Shifting Stones [3] Shifting Stones [3] thing is that Una2 isn't just HoF the Warlock. She's, HoF/threat range the warlock. You need to maximize use of both mirage and HoF to get the most out of her. The list above keeps a constant assassination threat open until you pop feat turn and that can lead your opponent to make mistakes or play super conservatively to your benefit. A HoF lord of the feast (even nerfed) is one of the scariest threats in the game. Stat him with mirage turn one and then every turn after that he's got a constant 16" walking bird threat range or 18 if you can mirage and use the stones. The turn you want him to go in you swap over HoF after upkeeping mirage. HoF lives on the raptor until its time to send in the scarsfell swarm and then one them gets it. Fish sticks is absolutely crucial for ensuring that the raptor can do work against any target and for the LotF to threaten whatever he needs to. In your list the wilder, rotterhorn, and razor wing are all dead weight. They stick out like a sore thumb for not having stealth or some ranged defense and are likely to be picked off or not be able to be forward enough to matter. The wilder is just almost always the wrong choice. She doesn't do nearly enough to justify her cost. The stones are the better fury management tool by far (I have tested both here). All of my experience is pre-oblivion and I haven't tried to tweak this yet to use wolfsworn but i don't see my thoughts changing even with the update. If I was going to tweak it though I would be testing this: conflictchamber.com/?c8201b_-1xgM4B5H5H5H5HmO5g5gfImIjX5f5f4U4WCircle [Theme] The Wild Hunt [Una 2] Una the Skyhunter [+29] - Gorax Rager [7] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Scarsfell Griffon [8] - Storm Raptor [34] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Bog Trog Mist Speaker [4] Lord of the Feast [0(6)] Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron [5] Shifting Stones [3] Shifting Stones [3] Wolves of Orboros (max) [11] - Wolves of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [4]

So far Ive faced lists that outthreat the birds and dont need a feat or hunters mark to do it. 12”-14” charges are not all that.

16" threat on a gargantuan is lightning fast in this game for something that hits as hard as the raptor does.
16.5" threat on a scarsfell that had mirage on it is lots especially when any other bird can run 18" to trigger flank.
Not sure why you guys are limiting yourselves to 12/14".
There are a few things that get higher than that but they're usually single model heavies or lights and its a good thing scarsfells are def15 with dodge and stealth to bait the start of piece trading with if you are out threatened.

I have not had NEARLY the apparent success you have had getting a wayfarer in position to make truly credible 16” threats happen. Push them too far forward to get that, and they just get punked. Also DEF15 stealth has meant very little to what Ive run into in rando pickups.

Yeah my experience with the double storm raptor list is "win by turn 3 or get locked out on scenario". I'm not sure it's for me.
Much prefer the krueger 2/wurmwood pair with Iona.

Hey I wasn't complaining; I think I do fine by ignoring the charge-range arms race, and receiving a charge with a pair of squirrelly Elusive Shadowhorns. Just agreeing with paradox that _if_ 12" is all you've got, you're not getting very many alphas. 14" is obviously better, but you should still have a plan for how to receive a charge, rather than just throw your hands up, resign the game, and start playing with things with more reach.

Wrong eye parked behind the birds takes an alpha pretty well, if it's inevitable. Obviously not fool proof but most things are having an issue with that.

I do like this, and had some similar thoughts, but I like the mist speaker. And Im not sure I care about owning one. I have lots of “must have” mercs and minions now that never get played. But I do understand Guidance helping fix certain matches. I might try this with a wilder in place (I know) and see. She does give a free upkeep, and Ive used herding alot with larger BGs.

A wilder offends me so much. Herding is largely unnecessary with 2 sets of stones, and una isn't exactly doing so much that she needs the free upkeep. Lanyssa would probably be better, because then you can use the way farer sprays more, absolutely positively land that clutch hunters mark, and maybe shut down some pathfinder. Or maybe pay points for a way farer and get some free dogs for contesting and flags. Or something that isn't a wilder.
